Ugreen’s new Nexode 45 W GaN charger with retractable cable now available at Costco

Last month, Ugreen launched the Nexode 45 W GaN charger in Europe and North America. Now, the brand’s latest charging accessory is now available for purchase at Costco. Speaking more precisely, the Ugreen Costco storefront is offering the Nexode 45 W charger (2-pack) for $49.99. Unfortunately, there’s no option to purchase a single unit on Costco. Oddly enough, the charger isn’t available on Amazon. 

The Ugreen Nexode is a three-port charger, featuring two USB ports (one USB-C and one USB-A) and an integrated USB-C cable that extends up to 69 cm (27.2 inches). The built-in cable and a USB-C port each offer an up to 45 W power output, while the USB-A port is rated to deliver a 22.5 W output when used in single-port mode.

It’s worth mentioning that the 45 W charger can charge three devices simultaneously, but it can’t fast charge all of them at once, as charging speeds slow down when all three ports are in use. The charging accessory has several safety features, including overvoltage, overheating, and short circuits. Dimensionally, it measures 2.1 x 2.0 x 2.1 inches (53.1 x 50.3 x 53.1 mm) and weighs around 0.44 lbs (199.6 grams). 

The GaN-powered charger comes with a foldable prong design and supports multiple fast-charging standards, including PPS and USB PD 3.0. This means it can fast charge a wide range of devices, from smartphones and tablets to USB-C-powered laptops.
