Ugreen launches new compact 100W GaN charger with 5 ports and smart display

Ugreen has released a new compact GaN charger in the US and UK. With a 100W output and a built-in smart status display, it looks like a direct competitor to the 3-port Anker Prime 100W charger (curr: $49.99 at Amazon) that launched last year. The key difference here is that the Ugreen model offers five ports, which could make it a better fit for users juggling multiple devices.

Specifically, the new Ugreen Nexode Pro charger features four USB-C ports and an extra USB-A port, allowing users to juice up to five devices at once, compared to three on the Anker model. When charging a single device, any of the USB-C ports can deliver the full 100W, making it suitable for high-power devices like laptops. Speaking of which, Ugreen claims it can charge a 14-inch MacBook Pro M4 Pro to 54% in just 30 minutes.

Charge up to five devices from one outlet

As expected, power is shared when multiple devices are plugged in. The charger supports a wide range of charging protocols, including PD 3.0, PPS, QC 4.0, FCP, AFC, AVS, and SCP, and comes with built-in protections against overvoltage, overcurrent, overheating, and short circuits.

Another standout feature is the built-in display, which provides quick charging insights. Users can monitor temperatures and check the output of each port as well as the charging protocol. It even shows animated emojis, because why not? Moreover, the charger is also designed to take up less space on a power strip and features foldable prongs for easier travel.

The 100W 5-port Ugreen Nexode Pro charger is now available in the US for $69.99, the same price as the Anker model before discounts. In the UK, it’s priced at £52.99 and is available through Amazon.
