AceFast 6-in-1 80 W GaN charging station review: The coolest wireless and wired charging station with a small footprint
Abhinav Fating Published
Verdict - A compact charging station with decent power output
The AceFast 6-in-1 is a capable charging station for its competitive price, packing a decent 80 W power output in a smaller footprint that reduces cable clutter and offers a fixed spot for charging multiple devices at once.
Though, it lacks Qi2.2 support and supports fast charging for only a single device, which is slightly disappointing. But quibbles aside, its compact form factor and wired and wireless charging options make it a good choice for those who want a charging station that comes with a portable design and a decent price tag.

Design and build
The AceFast 6-in-1 80 W GaN charging station has a very versatile design. Unlike other desktop charging stations from the likes of Anker and Ugreen, the AceFast offers both wired and wireless charging options. Speaking more precisely, there are three wireless charging pads (including charging slots for both Apple Watch and AirPods) and three wired outputs, of which two are USB ports (USB-A + USB-C) and one is a USB-C retractable cable.
What I liked about the charging station is its compact form factor. The AceFast 80 W 6-in-1 charging station features a tower-like design, which looks sleek and takes up very little space on your desk. On the other hand, if you look at the other charging stations, they not only come with a bulky design but also take up quite a bit of space. AceFast did a great job here. Thumbs up for that.
Dimension-wise, it measures 83 x 72.5 x 72.5 mm (3.26 x 2.85 x 2.85 inches) and weighs around 590 grams (1.3 lbs). The top-mounted 15 W magnetic wireless charging pad is adjustable, and you can tilt it up to 65°. Just beneath it, you’ll find a secondary 5 W pad and another 5 W retractable wireless charging pad on the right side, ideal for charging an Apple Watch.
On the left, there’s a USB-C retractable cable that extends up to 70 cm (2.29 ft). Below it, you are getting one USB-A and one USB-C port. At the bottom, it has four silicon feet, which offer a steady and firm grip on the desk. On top of this, AceFast has also integrated an LED light at the front side, which glows when you switch it on.
The charging station’s hard plastic build with a metallic finish feels sturdy and quite premium. However, this compact design has its limitations; more about it in the performance section.
Performance

The AceFast charging station delivers a maximum of 80 W of power output across six charging outputs, which is decent. However, the total power output is considerably less for the charging station. Unlike other charging stations that are able to fast charge a minimum of two medium-sized MacBooks, the AceFast charging station can’t fast charge any MacBooks. Though, on the positive side, it can charge your machine at a decent pace, which is good for those who aren’t in a hurry.
What about those who want a fast charge? I would suggest looking for another option that is faster than the AceFast’s charging station. So where does the AceFast charging station excel? In my two weeks of testing, I noticed the charging station did a decent job, charging my Xiaomi 17 Ultra (6,000 mAh battery) with a sole USB-C port.
To be more exact, the sole USB-C port maxes out at 65 W speed when used on its own. It almost took approximately 1 hour and 6 minutes to recharge my Xiaomi 17 Ultra—the expected timeframe. It’s safe to say that you can rely on its wired connection. When used in a single mode, the retractable USB-C cable and a USB-A port offer you 60 W and 18 W output, respectively. Ultimately, that’s the compromise you have to make for its compact size. Have a look at the power allocation of the AceFast 6-in-1 charging station when you use all three ports at once.
| Ports combination | Power output |
|---|---|
| USB-C cable + USB-C port | 45 W + 20 W |
| USB-C cable + USB-A port | 45 W + 18 W |
| USB-C + USB-A port | 5 V 3 A shared (15 W total) |
| USB-C cable + USB-C + USB-A port | 45 W + 15 W (shared USB-C + USB-A) |
As for wireless charging, yes, it can charge up to three devices wirelessly with a charging speed of 15 W for the iPhone, 5 W for the earbuds, and 2.5 W for the Apple Watch. The drawback is the charging station lacks Qi2.2 support, which means it works well with the older iPhones, but new iPhones now come with 25 W wireless charging support.
I tried charging six devices at once and found the charging station worked decently. What I also noticed is that its 80 W output is just not enough to fast charge large devices such as two or three smartphones or one smartphone and one MacBook M4 Air at once. Undoubtedly, it powers all the devices but you can’t expect a fast charge from this small footprint. Though it coped well with one smartphone and other smaller accessories such as earbuds and a smartwatch.
Conclusion
The AceFast 6-in-1 GaN charging station boasts decent power output, multiple ports, a compact design, and wireless charging pads. If you are looking for a charging station with a small footprint and power output doesn’t matter to you, then you can’t go wrong with the AceFast 6-in-1 GaN charging station.
