Ugreen has launched a new 4K DP to HDMI Bidirectional Cable in countries worldwide. As its name suggests, the recently released accessory supports both DP to HDMI and HDMI to DP connections. As such, Ugreen suggests that it could be used to connect a PlayStation 5 to a DP-enabled monitor, or a laptop to an HDMI-enabled TV.
The Ugreen nylon braided cable supports 4K@30Hz DP to HDMI and 4K@60Hz HDMI to DP. It is compatible with RGB, HDR and YCbCr 4:4:4 formats, with up to 10.2 and 18.0 Gbps data transfer speeds for DP to HDMI and HDMI to DP, respectively. Plus, it offers an up to 24-bit/192kHz audio sampling rate. Ugreen also notes compatibility with Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, DTS, HDCP 1.4 and HDR10+.
Attached to the HDMI connector is a 5V/0.5A USB-A cable, which the company notes must be plugged into a power source for the adapter to function correctly. Listed compatible devices include Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5 and Xbox. Plus, it works with Nvidia graphics cards like the RTX 5090 and the RTX 4090, as well as the AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT and the RX 7900 XT.
You can now buy the Ugreen 4K DP to HDMI Bidirectional cable at Amazon in the US for $32.99. In the UK, it retails for £27.99, and in other European countries like France, Spain and Germany, pricing varies between €29.99 and €34.99.
