Reviews for the Toshiba Tecra R850-10R

Toshiba's Tecra R850-10R is arguably just a bit too big for someone who needs to take their laptop with them everywhere, but it’s well-suited as a desktop replacement that can still be mobile. Build quality isn't as robust as some others in this category, though its performance is good, providing you don't need to use graphics-intensive applications.

Toshiba's R850 is designed for life on the go, with a built-in mobile broadband modem so you can access the Internet from anywhere you can get mobile reception. The Toshiba R850 offers good performance and is comfy to use, thanks to its excellent keyboard and anti-glare screen. The fact it also includes integrated mobile broadband helps to make it a pretty compelling option for those after a laptop to use on the go.

15-inch display variants are the standard and are used for more than half of all laptops.
The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, often allows high resolutions and thus offers rich details on the screen, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact - simply the standard compromise.

75%: This rating is poor. More than three quarters of the models are rated better. That is rather not a purchase recommendation. Even if verbal ratings in this area do not sound that bad ("sufficient" or "satisfactory"), they are usually euphemisms that disguise a classification as a below-average laptop.
