How much is brand loyalty worth? EV makers are putting this to the test as they try to tempt Tesla owners to their side with incentives worth up to $2,000.
Among the automakers offering Tesla conquest is Lucid. The American EV startup has a Tesla Trade-In Allowance bonus of $2,000 for owners of “Competitive Premium Vehicles,” which is available until September 30. Other stackable incentives include a $2,000 On-Site Bonus for buyers choosing from existing stock, and a $7,500 Air Credit applicable to the Touring and Grand Touring trims.
Another luxury brand targeting Tesla owners is BMW. The German automaker will give drivers coming from other EVs $1,000 Customer Credit for a new fully electric BMW until September 30. Qualifying models include the 2025 BMW i4, the 2024-2026 BMW i7, the 2024-2026 i5, and the 2024-2026 BMW iX.
However, if you are considering more affordable EVs, Ford hopes to secure your business with the Tesla Competitive Conquest Bonus Cash. The incentive applies not only to the 2025 Mustang Mach-E but also to the 2025 F-150 Lightning pickup truck and is worth $1,000. The deal comes with a complimentary home EV charger, with Ford even covering the cost of installation.
Kia is also eyeing Tesla’s slice of the pie with a bonus for 2026 EV9 buyers. The South Korean brand is offering a $1,000 Competitive Bonus for owners of the Tesla Model 3, Model S, Model X, and Model Y from the 2014 model year to 2026. Customers can save even more with the $5,000 Customer Cash until the end of September.
