The Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro receives a new MIUI 12 update
The Redmi Note 7 Pro has been on MIUI 12 in China for a few months now, with the company having rolled out V12.0.2.0.QFHCNXM to the regional variant at the turn of July and August. Now, Xiaomi seems to be finally getting around to bringing its latest OS to the Indian version of the device.
Previously, Xiaomi had released V12.0.0.2.QFHINXM to the Redmi Note 7 Pro, but this did not make it out of testing. The company then upgraded the Indian variant to Android 10 with V11.0.2.0.QFHINXM last month, which it has now replaced with V12.0.1.0.QFHINXM.
The new update is currently at the Beta Stable stage, meaning that it is undergoing a limited rollout to check for any bugs that have been missed during internal testing. It should not take Xiaomi long to issue V12.0.1.0.QFHINXM more widely if there are no problems, but you could try installing it manually if you would rather not wait. To do so, download the recovery ROM zip file below, which is hosted on Xiaomi's servers. Please be aware that the OTA will be a considerably smaller download than the recovery ROM.
