The Samsung Galaxy Fit2 name is all but confirmed in a new leak
Samsung is expected to launch a fitness tracker alongside a number of other products at its impending Galaxy Unpacked event. A new leak appears to set its status as a second-gen Galaxy Fit series in stone. It may be the first reported listing for the device that uses a corresponding product name.
Samsung's next major product launch is almost upon us. Nevertheless, leaks about devices that may or may not debut at the August 5, 2020 show are still flowing. One of these new products might be a fitness tracker to succeed the existing Galaxy Fit. However, no reports have given much evidence that it will be a direct replacement for this wearable.
That may have changed with part of a document allegedly found on the website of an Indonesian body. It may show that the Samsung SM-R220 - a device previously confirmed as a fitness tracker by the Federal Communications Commission - is now linked to the name Galaxy Fit2.
Therefore, it seems it is indeed planned as an upgrade for the original Fit. Its leaks suggest that it may pack features such as a heart-rate sensor. Further official approvals for sale have revealed that it will support Bluetooth 5.1 and may have improved battery life compared to the first generation of its series.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
