As our review of the MSI Katana 17 HX illustrates, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle no longer crashes too quickly due to insufficient video memory, but performance is still severely compromised.

When choosing higher resolutions or settings, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle still suffers significantly from a paltry amount of VRAM. In case of the MSI Katana 17 and its Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop with 8GB GDDR7, 2560 x 1440 pixels and the "Very Ultra" preset didn't cause crashes, which was a rather frequent occasion when the action-adventure game launched in December of last year. However, an average of 32.4 frames per second is far from ideal, especially compared to more powerful graphic cards.

As you can see in our comprehensive review of the MSI Katana 17 HX, a GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop with 16GB GDDR7 is about 150% faster here (82.5 fps on the MSI Vector A18 HX), while the GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop with 24GB GDDR7 is almost 200% ahead (99.5 fps on the MSI Raider A18 HX). In other games, however, the difference is considerably smaller. If we combine all games that we’ve benchmarked thus far, the RTX 5080 is "only" 60% faster than the RTX 5070 in QHD.
