The Doogee V will copy the iPhone X's frontal design, the Galaxy S9's rear, and also feature an under-display fingerprint sensor
Samsung and Apple flagships are usually copied within months by aspiring Chinese OEMs. Umidigi already set their sights on providing an iPhone X copy and it looks like the next OEM to follow suit will be Doogee, with reports claiming that the company's next device will sport the same d factor seen on the iPhone X.
According to popular tipster Evan Blass (@evleaks), the next Doogee device, the Doogee V will not only mimic the iPhone X's design factor, but also go a step further by implementing the yet-to-be-seen under-display fingerprint sensor feature. It's almost nonsensical to think that a company of Doogee's stature could have that feature all set before most of the industry's major players. The technology was unveiled by Synaptics a few weeks ago, though, so it's a bit more plausible, all things considered. It's also interesting that a device from a similarly-positioned OEM, Leagoo, is said to also feature both the iPhone X's design and an under-display sensor.
Going by the renders on Blass's tweet, the device may look like the iPhone X from a distance, but up close, it has a certain girth to it. Quite thick, some would say. The back view also looks quite a lot like the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S9. Doogee, getting the best of both worlds.
