Asus unveiled the Chromebook Flip C434 back in early January, at CES 2019, but it took a while for it to finally become available. Now, this all-metal Chrome OS-driven portable can be acquired directly from Asus, but only the most basic variant has been listed so far.
The Asus Chromebook Flip C434 is using the NanoEdge display technology that has been made popular by the ZenBook lineup of premium ultrabooks. Thanks to it, the Chromebook Flip C434 has a 14-inch full HD display in a 13-inch chassis, and its bezels measure less than 0.5 inches.
The model currently listed by the US Asus Store for US$569.99 is labeled C434TA-DSM4T and comes with the entry-range Intel Core m3-8100Y processor, 4 GB of memory, and 64 GB of eMMC internal storage. The 48 Wh battery promises up to 10 hours of use on a single charge.
The Asus Chromebook Flip C434 should also come with Intel Core i5-8200Y and Intel Core i7-8500Y processors, 8 GB of memory, and 129 GB of internal storage, so more models should arrive soon. For now, there are no third parties selling these machines yet, but we will let you know as soon as that happens. Obviously, if you come across a Flip C434 on Amazon or Best Buy, it would be great if you could spare a minute to share the news with the rest of us in the comments section.
