The unique power seat adjustment controls' shape matches the Cybertruck electric pickup's angular design, as do the edgy headrests and the overall design in a new Tesla seat testing video. The seats also seem perforated, matching the tips for ventilated comfort that will eventually come to the Tesla Model 3 Highland refresh as well.

The angular front seat set of the upcoming Cybertruck electric pickup has been put to the test that Tesla says its EV seats undergo to gauge their durability. The goal is to see if they survive after 50,000 pressure motions which according to Tesla will be a life cycle of usage.

While Tesla doesn't explicitly say these are the actual seats that its first electric pickup is coming with, the edgy design of the headrests and adjustment controls screams of the angular Cybertruck design. Moreover, they seem to be perforated for extra ventilation comfort, something that has been said and seen many times about the seats of various Cybertruck prototypes.

Such ventilated seats, previously reserved for Tesla's more expensive EVs like the Model S/X, are probably coming to the Model 3 Highland refresh as well, but the Cybertruck is expected to be released earlier than the Highland. Tesla recently bragged that it has assembled its first production Cybertruck, meaning that the assembly line at Giga Texas has now been tried and tested, ready for ramping up to mass production.

The Cybertruck, however, is unlikely to be produced in meaningful quantities that will start fulfilling its sizeable preorder tally before some time next year. There are rumors that Tesla has notified suppliers to be ready for orders of 375,000 Cybertruck units a year in magnitude.

That number is rather wishful thinking at the moment, though. If it materializes, it will be at a later date when the Cybertruck plus its 4680 battery cells manufacturing are fully ramped, and its Gigafactory production diversified to other places than just the Austin plant.
