The 2-in-1 device looks similar to the Microsoft Surface Pro, right down to the built in kickstand, and is powered by a Kaby Lake Core m3 processor.

A device bearing a striking resemblance to the Microsoft Surface has appeared on retail site Gearbest. The Teclast X5 Pro is a 2-in-1 laptop/tablet hybrid available for preorder. Similar to the Surface, the X5 Pro has a kickstand built into the 12.2-inch touchscreen to prop the device up like a laptop. The Gearbest page also has a picture of the X5 Pro with a keyboard cover featuring a built-in trackpad, also this cover is not included with the device.

The X5 Pro features:

  • 12.2-inch 1920 x 1200 IPS touchscreen
  • Quad-core Intel Kaby Lake Core m3-7Y30 (1.0 GHz base, 2.6 GHz boost)
  • Intel HD 615 integrated graphics
  • 8 GB DDR3L RAM
  • 240 GB SSD
  • 5.0 MP rear camera and 2.0 MP front camera
  • 802.11 a/b/g/n dual band WiFI
  • Bluetooth 4.0
  • 5,000 mAh battery

The device also features a USB Type-A port, a USB Type-C port, and either a mircoUSB or microHDMI port (based on photos).

The Kaby Lake Core m3 processor is the same processor found in the Cube Mix Plus. Also like the Mix Plus, the X5 Pro is running a dual OS hybrid of Windows 10 and Android, something we’re starting to see more of.

Pricing and availability haven’t been announced yet, but based on the web page header for the Gearbest page, the price could be around $550. Teclast is expected to announce a device bearing these specs at their press conference on December 6th.
