You can get a really good deal on the Teclast M50 HD, which offers a lot of storage but also has a few disadvantages.
Several factors make the affordable Teclast M50 HD tablet not very suited for outdoor use. That's too bad, because it's compact and light and therefore easy to carry. We summarize here what else we found out about it in our test.

Teclast has been successful in creating affordable tablets. The Chinese manufacturer even manages to get around some of the usual cost cutting measures in this price class. The Teclast M50 HD we recently tested in great detail can already be purchased from Amazon for ~$160. Despite its price, it still brings a lot of storage: 128 GB flash for data and 8 GB of RAM.

In addition, you get a Full-HD screen that is even suited for streaming of HD content with its Widevine L1 support. The manufacturer even includes a mobile modem, allowing users to access the Internet almost anywhere or make calls with the Teclast M50 HD. The pure Android 13 makes it easy to find your way around on the tablet, and Teclast also didn't install bloatware or advertising apps from third-party vendors.

Despite its low price, the device has a metal case that looks elegant with its bright-blue color, is fairly stable, and also shows clean workmanship. The M50HD only doesn't like pressure or warping, responding to this with fairly loud creaking noise or displaying artifacts on the screen. At 439 grams (~15.5 oz), the weight is relatively low for a 10.1-inch tablet, allowing you to hold the tablet comfortably in your hands for a long time.

Unfortunately, we also found some disadvantages of the Teclast M50 HD in our extensive tests: Although locating the tablet via satellite is possible, it is relatively inaccurate. The cameras are hardly usable overall for pictures, since the images are blurry and not very bright. While the performance capabilities of the tablet are still sufficient for everyday operation, they are at a low level even for this price class.

Charging of the 6,000-mAh battery takes a long time, and once it is completely recharged, the tablet won't last as long in battery operation as some of the competitors.

But due to its low price when it is on sale, the tablet might still be interesting for those who want to use it mainly indoors. So if you want to take a detailed look at the Teclast M50 HD, we recommend our extensive review with detailed results and deeper evaluations.
