Steam discount: Beloved strategy game for just $6 instead of $60

After venturing into the future with Anno 2205, the series returned to its historical roots with Anno 1800. This time, players find themselves in the 19th century, an era shaped by industrialization, technological advancements and expanding global trade.

As the leader of a rising nation, players begin with a small settlement and transform it into a thriving metropolis. As the game progresses, a small village with simple farmhouses grows into a bustling industrial hub with factories, railroads, vast production chains and a powerful trading fleet. Developed by Ubisoft Blue Byte (now Ubisoft Mainz), Anno 1800 launched in April 2019. The city-building strategy game has nearly 19,000 reviews on Steam, with 82% positive ratings. A similar trend appears on Metacritic, where it holds a Metascore of 82 and a user score of 8.2. While well-received, players have criticized performance issues, a complex and sometimes unintuitive menu system and repetitive gameplay mechanics.

90 percent discount, DLCs also reduced

Anno 1800 usually sells for $60 on Steam, but until March 13, players can grab it for just $6 thanks to a 90% discount. The Year 5 Gold Edition, which includes all Season Passes and the Deluxe Pack (The Anarchist mission, soundtrack and artbook), is discounted by 60%, dropping from $100 to $40. The Definitive Annoversary Edition, which also includes all cosmetic DLCs, is available for around $52 instead of $130 with the same 60% discount.

Ubisoft publisher promotion: The deal is part of a major Ubisoft publisher sale, which also features substantial discounts on other AAA titles like Star Wars Outlaws, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and Assassin's Creed Mirage.
