Steam adds more new free games to its growing library

Steam has just received another wave of free games. These freebies became available on the platform in early May or late April 2025, and they were spotted by X account @SteamGamesPC. Here's more description about some of them:

• SteelSilk Championship - a rogue-lite shooter where players get to take control of a robotic spider and battle endless swarms of enemies. It has single-player and co-op modes, and the free game became available on Steam on May 10.
• 12.12.25 - described as a post-apocalyptic freebie where survival depends on the players' skills, determination, and ingenuity. This free game currently has a "Mixed" rating with 16 Steam player reviews, and it launched on May 7.
• Vibrant Dash - a first-person 3D platformer with procedural levels where players compete against each other by beating each other's time on the same level. It launched as a free game on Steam on May 10.
• Midnight Snack - described as a short first-person horror entry with an eerie environment and retro visuals. This free game currently has a "Very Positive" rating on Steam with 112 reviews, and it became available on May 2.
• Frostbite Frenzy - an online PvP freebie that lets players experience a "chaotic" multiplayer brawl. It became available on Steam as a free game on May 3.
• Diplomacy is Not an Option: Shareware - a prequel to the original entry of the series that's set in a medieval fantasy world. Players have to build settlements and defend against hordes of enemies with their armies. This free game currently has a "Very Positive" rating on Steam with 80 reviews, and it launched on April 30.
• Blight's Grasp - an action-adventure entry where players get to fight waves of enemies and solve puzzles. This free game became available on Steam on April 30, and it currently has a "Positive" rating that's based on 42 reviews.
• Greed's Grub - said to be a psychological horror freebie where players have to craft burgers for goofy customers. It launched on Steam as a free game on April 30 and currently has a "Positive" rating that's based on 19 reviews.
• Infinity Nikki - described as an open-world adventure game with vast landscapes and mystical puzzles. This freebie became available on Steam on April 28, and it currently has a "Mixed" rating that's based on over 5 thousand player reviews.
• Ichor Burns - an action freebie with a dynamic combat mechanism and crafting system. This free game currently has a "Positive" rating on Steam that's based on 24 reviews, and it launched on May 1.
