Samsung to reveal next Gear watch at IFA in September

At the Unpacked 2015 event Samsung announced the new Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. At the end of the show came the a small video showing off a little about the latest Gear smartwatch. The teaser shown revealed a circular display that Samsung showed off months ago, and some of the different functions, applications, and various watch faces. 

Based on the UI, it seems as though this watch is not going to be running on Android Wear OS, but possibly the Tizen operating system. The wearable, based on the teaser, seems quite different from previous iterations. The interface and metal design seem to indicate that Samsung is really trying to create a stylish watch with numerous capabilities, as opposed to past efforts Samsung has made, which were not so well-received.

At the end of the teaser, Samsung revealed that they would have more information at the IFA in Berlin, which will take place in early September.  Though the video was only a short teaser, it leaves a lot to be excited about. Since the release of the Apple Watch and other Android Wear smartwatches, wearable manufacturers have had to step up considerably in order to compete.
