Samsung to release Pure White SKU for the Galaxy Note 9, but only in Taiwan
By all accounts and Samsung's typical product-cycling behavior, we won't see the upcoming flagship Galaxy S10 line for at least a few months. The next iteration of the Galaxy Note series is even farther away. Therefore, the Korean company could squeeze some additional revenue stats out of both phablet types yet. This may be why it is preparing a 'Pure White' variant of the Galaxy Note 9 for sale in Taiwan for the holiday season.
This Galaxy Note 9 SKU was described in prior leaks as 'exquisite and elegant', as well as offering 'outstanding value' for some reason. It also has a white S Pen, thus avoiding the color-contrasting theme initiated with the Ocean Blue variant. There is no information on the new white Note 9's pricing, and thus no reason to think it will deviate from the norm in Taiwan. The phablet starts at about US$1000 for the 6GB/128GB configuration in the country.
Similarly, the new white device's specs are likely to stay the same as that of its more vibrant siblings. Therefore, any preference for it is likely to come down to aesthetics, and also possibly uniqueness.
