Samsung's Galaxy S26 Ultra will apparently not include built-in magnets, unfortunately

Early rumors suggested the Galaxy S26 Series would finally support MagSafe-style accessories like power banks and chargers. We just didn't know if Samsung planned to build the magnets into the phone itself or if they would rely on cases to do the heavy lifting.
Well, reliable tipster Ice Universe now claims the upcoming flagship will not have magnets integrated into the phone’s body. If this leak holds, then Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra users will still need a specific case to get that snappy magnetic connection we see on other devices.
While the phone is expected to support the Qi2 wireless charging standard, the lack of internal magnets sets it apart from competitors like the Google Pixel 10. The Pixel 10 series currently offers built-in magnets for a seamless experience right out of the box. Samsung appears to be bridging this gap with a new lineup of official accessories instead of hardware changes.
Leaks have revealed several upcoming products designed to add this functionality, including magnetic cases, power banks, and chargers. One will essentially have to buy one of these cases to make the most of the magnetic ecosystem. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is rumored to support 25W wireless charging, while the standard models may be capped at 20W. We likely won't know for sure until the Galaxy S26 series officially launches on February 25.
