The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra has reportedly stopped by Geekbench, earning single-core and multi-core scores of more than 3,600 and 10,600, respectively. The Galaxy S26 Ultra's Geekbench listing also confirms that the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 inside the Galaxy S26 Ultra is likely going to be overclocked.

The Samsung Galaxy S26 series is almost upon us. This means that the frequency and accuracy of Galaxy S26 leaks are on the rise. This is especially true for the Galaxy S26 Ultra, as it is the most anticipated Galaxy S26 smartphone. We’ve already shared a ton of details about the design, display, colors, and camera hardware of the Galaxy S26 Ultra. We now have Geekbench single-core and multi-core results to take a look at.

According to the latest Geekbench results of the Galaxy S26 Ultra, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 inside the smartphone scored 3,601 in single-core and 10,686 in multi-core tests, respectively. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 was apparently paired with 12 GB of VRAM and was running at a base clock of 3.63 GHz and a maximum core clock of 4.74 GHz on two cores.

Based on our testing of the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 inside the Galaxy S26 Ultra is around 16% faster in single-core and 7.5% faster in multi-core Geekbench 6 tests. Comparing the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 to the Apple A19 Pro, we see that the Apple A19 Pro is around 7% faster in Geekbench 6 single-core, while the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 takes a 6% lead in the multi-core benchmark.

So, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 of the Galaxy S26 Ultra is noticeably speedier than the last-gen Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy. Qualcomm’s champ should also stack up quite nicely against the A19 Pro of the iPhone 17 Pro/Pro Max.

Galaxy S26 Ultra appears to have an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5

The latest Geekbench listing for the Galaxy S26 Ultra seems to confirm that Samsung will once again use a slightly overclocked Snapdragon SoC. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 has an official max boost clock of up to 4.60 GHz. With a reported boost frequency of 4.74 GHz, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 of the Galaxy S26 Ultra enjoys a 3% higher boost clock.

Samsung has been employing this strategy since the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy, which debuted in the Galaxy S23 series. So, it seems that the Galaxy S26 series will also feature “For Galaxy” Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
