Samsung gets the Galaxy Z Fold2 through TENAA testing ahead of its Chinese-market launch

The Galaxy Z Fold2 is Samsung's second-generation book-form flexible tablet. It is slated to launch in the US on September 1, 2020, followed by a debut in China eight days later. The device has appeared on the database of the regulator TENAA ahead of this event.

Samsung introduced the Galaxy Z Fold2 as a next-gen foldable tablet that moves on somewhat from its successor of a simpler name in its Note 20-esque looks and possibly improved structural integrity at its last major product showcase. Then again, this device was not formally launched at that show.

Instead, the OEM announced that it would get its own show that would make it available in markets such as the US on September 1, 2020. This is to be followed by pre-orders for the potentially super-expensive foldable the day afterward. The Z Fold 2 - or SM-F9160 - will then proceed to launch in China 7 days later.

There is no concrete word from Samsung on how much the ultra-premium device will cost in any market thus far. However, the Chinese market is slated to get the (doubtless most pricey) Thom Browne Edition of the same. It is a Z Fold 2 finished in this designer's signature tricolor stripes on a gray background rather than its standard Mystic Bronze or Black shades, packaged with a similarly-restyled Galaxy Buds Live and Galaxy Watch3.
