In the Q2 2024 earnings call, Daniel Araujo, the mobile experience vice president at Samsung, promised that the Galaxy S25 series will see "top-of-the-line" camera and display upgrades. Araujo has also said to expect boosted AI performance and better "overall premium experience" from the lineup.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 series landed in January of this year, and there have been many leaks around the Galaxy S25 lineup ever since. While it's unclear whether the recent rumors will eventually turn true, Samsung's mobile experience (MX) vice president, Daniel Araujo, has shared some key info about the upcoming Android flagships.

At the Q2 2024 earnings call, Araujo said that the display and camera specs of the Galaxy S25 lineup will see "top-of-the-line" upgrades. The Samsung executive didn't go into the details, but recent leaks do give an overall idea of what to expect, especially from the top-end S25 Ultra.

That phone is rumored to come with a 50 MP 3x telephoto camera. In comparison, the Galaxy S24 Ultra  (512 GB curr. $1,235 on Amazon) features a 10 MP 3x sensor, so the 50 MP camera would be a good upgrade for the S25 Ultra. There haven't been many concrete leaks about the regular Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus, but these two are due for a much-needed camera upgrade.

To fill you in, the standard Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus still use the same camera setup that Samsung introduced with the S22 series. Araujo also says that the company is preparing "industry-best APs and memory" to boost AI performance and improve the "overall premium experience."

Araujo talked more about AI, saying that he expects future Samsung flagship devices to be able to "understand the context of conversations." This could be due to Samsung's recent acquisition of Oxford Semantic Technologies, a UK startup specializing in knowledge graph technology.
