Archive.org versionThe Samsung R580 notebook is the first full notebook from Samsung that I've had the chance to review and overall I must say I'm pretty happy overall with what it had to offer. This notebook can be found online for ~$899 CAD which put it up against a ton of other competition but we found that thanks to all of the features Samsung has included it makes the R580 a pretty great "All-Around" laptop. Is the Samsung R580 the ultimate gaming laptop?

NVIDIA GeForce 310M: The GeForce 310M is the successor of the GeFore G210M and based on the same chip with very similar clock rates (shader speed +30MHz to 1530MHz).
Only some 3D games with very low demands are playable with these cards.

430M:
The Core i5-430M is a middle class dual core CPU that features only 3 MB L3 Cache (compared to the I7-640M) and clocks between 2.26-2.53 GHz (Turbo Mode). Furthermore, VT-d, trusted Execution and AES features are missing in the 430M. Thanks to Hyperthreading, 4 threads can be processed simultaneously. An integrated graphics card (Intel HD Graphics with 500-733 MHz) and a DDR3 memory controller are also included in the package.
