Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro NP960XJG-KG6DE

Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro NP960XJG-KG6DE
ⓘ Daniel Schmidt
The Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro NP960XJG-KG6DE earns strong aggregate scores, positioning it as a premium Windows ultrabook with a refined aluminum design and upgraded internals. Reviews highlight the Intel Core Ultra X7 Panther Lake platform, improved battery life and display quality, while repeatedly noting the steep price and a few ergonomic/port compromises.

Pros

+ Premium aluminum design
+ Excellent 120 Hz display
+ Strong all-round performance
+ Capable iGPU gaming
+ Impressive battery life

Cons

- Very expensive pricing
- Limited port selection
- No right-side USB-C
- Numpad removed
- Battery claims optimistic

The Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro NP960XJG-KG6DE is a premium 16-inch Windows 11 ultrabook in the Galaxy Book6 series, commonly reviewed as a highly refined, near-complete package. It pairs Intel’s Core Ultra X7 358H “Panther Lake” platform with Intel Arc B390 integrated graphics, plus 32 GB LPDDR5x memory and a 1 TB NVMe SSD. Reviewers praise its slim, minimalist aluminum build, brighter display, improved audio and haptics, and better cooling. Battery life is described as strong, though some note it falls short of marketing claims in real use. Gaming is considered surprisingly viable for an iGPU, generally at medium settings and HD resolution. The major recurring criticism is the high 2,499 Euro price, alongside an only-okay port selection and design choices like no right-side USB-C and the removal of the numpad.

The Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro is a premium laptop with a premium price and makes premium promises, but it delivers on everything from productivity to high-level AI performance.

90% Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro review: Exactly as designed. Exactly as needed
Source: The Times of India English
Rs 2,24,990 is a serious number for a laptop, and the Book6 Pro doesn’t pretend otherwise. What that number buys: the best display on any Windows laptop, without qualification. A build that is convincing in the hand and holds up under daily use without showing it. A processor that handles creative workloads without asking you to manage it, paired with integrated graphics that have finally stopped being the thing you footnote in the spec sheet. A haptic trackpad that competes with the best on any platform. Battery life that removes itself from your daily calculations entirely. What it doesn’t buy: an SD card slot. AI software that will change how you work. Samsung ecosystem benefits, if the Samsung ecosystem isn’t already your ecosystem. There are cheaper ways to get a Windows laptop.

Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro review: Premium, portable, and a bit predictable
Source: Business Standard English
The Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro positions itself firmly in the premium ultrabook segment, and for the most part, it delivers a well-rounded experience. The biggest strength here is clearly the display. The AMOLED panel elevates everything you do on the laptop, whether it’s work or entertainment. Pair that with a slim, lightweight design and dependable day-to-day performance, and you get a machine that feels refined and easy to live with. However, it’s not without compromises. The keyboard lacks that premium tactile feel and feedback, sustained performance has its limits, and the speakers could have been better at complementing the display. While these aren't exactly big concerns, you come to expect a more finished experience at such a premium price point.

Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro first impressions: Slim, premium, display-first
Source: Business Standard English
The Galaxy Book6 Pro fits squarely into the ultrabook category, and it leans heavily into that identity. The design is clean, minimal, and understated in a way that doesn’t try too hard to grab attention, but still feels premium the moment you pick it up. The chassis is built out of metal, and it shows. The finish is smooth, the edges are rounded, and the overall construction feels solid in everyday use. The lid has a bit of flex if you press on it, but nothing that feels concerning. The hinge is well-tuned, opening smoothly and holding the display steady without wobble.

90% I loved the exquisite design of this Samsung's MacBook air rival — and that’s not even the best thing about it
Source: Techradar English
The Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro ticks all the boxes for a high-end laptop. Like many of the brand’s products, its design oozes quality, and its super-thin profile is truly remarkable. Portability has been improved, although the considerable weight of the 16-inch model I tested marred this aspect somewhat. Performance is great, with even its graphical capabilities surprising me, given the integrated graphics. However, the star of the show is the wide 3K AMOLED display, which is as spectacular as you might imagine. Heavy keys and a lack of ports are a drawback, and the Book6 Pro isn't exactly cheap — but it's a fierce contender in the premium space, nonetheless.

Samsung's new laptops are as close to a MacBook running Windows as you can get
Source: XDA Developers English
I've been a fan of Samsung's laptops for years, starting with a 12-inch model we owned in the early 2010's. The Galaxy Book 6 Pro is my favorite of the two models I've been swapping between, partly because Panther Lake is so good that I never once thought I needed the Nvidia dGPU in the Book 6 Ultra.

100% Samsung Galaxy Book 6 Pro review: Design delights
Source: T3 English
If you're shopping for a prestige Windows laptop, then, having used the Galaxy Book 6 Pro the past week for this review, I don't think you're likely to find anything more complete. It combines top-end design and strong performance into one neat package. This Galaxy Book is also proof of Intel's latest Series 3 chips. You'll get solid performance across the full spectrum, including gaming, and there's decent battery life – albeit not to Samsung's not-real-life claims. All of which sets up the 2026 laptop landscape to be a cracker.

80% Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro review: A seriously refined ride
Source: Expert Reviews English
There is no doubt that the Galaxy Book6 Pro is a top-quality laptop. It has a wonderful display, decent performance, impressive battery life and even a modicum of serious gaming capability, courtesy of that 12-core Intel Arc B390 integrated GPU. And it’s a lovely thing, too, carved out of a solid block of aluminium – all shark-like lines and stark minimalism. There are some issues. By 2025 standards, the Galaxy Book6 Pro 16 is expensive. Our laptop of the year last year – the Honor MagicBook Pro 14 is currently £999 and delivers performance that’s not a million miles away, while the recently reviewed Acer Nitro 16S Ai costs £400 less and delivers considerably better gaming performance. But neither can quite match the all-round appeal of the Galaxy Book6 Pro and, for those seeking a serious Windows-based alternative to the MacBook Pro 16, it’s the best we have right now, with a beautiful all-round build, impressive performance and great battery life.

90% Samsung Galaxy Book 6 Pro Review
Source: Trusted Reviews English
The Samsung Galaxy Book 6 Pro is a sublime Windows ultrabook that’s as stylish as it is powerful. A redesigned, slimmer chassis keeps things sleek, plus it impresses with the power of the Panther Lake chip inside and its brilliant battery life. Just watch out for the okay port selection and the horrible price increase over last year’s model. I had a similar criticism for the Asus Zenbook Duo (2026) regarding its jumped-up price tag for this year, and I hope that it isn’t the case for all of the year’s releases. Nonetheless, this is a capable laptop with beefier performance than last year’s Samsung Galaxy Book 5 Pro, stronger battery life than the LG Gram 16 Pro, and nearly as much style as the Asus Zenbook S 16 (2024), and it’s excellent. Galaxy Book 6 Pro and Galaxy Book 6 Ultra Hands-On: Oh, So Pro!
Source: Sam Mobile English
The Galaxy Book 6 Pro and Ultra feel like solid refinements rather than flashy reinventions. The biggest wins for me are the improved audio, excellent haptics that finally rival premium competitors, the brighter display, and better cooling. The trade-offs are clear, too. There’s still no right-side USB-C, which remains mildly annoying, and the numpad removal will split opinions.

Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro First Impressions: Big Improvements!
Source: Mark Ellis Reviews English
Samsung’s Galaxy Book6 Pro is shaping up to be a genuine contender in the premium laptop space. It looks fantastic, performs beautifully, and addresses a lot of the niggles I’ve had with Windows laptops of old. If this is where Samsung is headed laptop-wise in 2026, I’m poised to go all in.
