The extensive review from DisplayMate is full of praise for Samsung's latest phablet. Of course, European users may not even get the smartphone at all if Samsung doesn't change its plans.
So what's so great about the Galaxy Note5 display? The 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED panel beats the previous crown-holder - the Galaxy Note 4 - in energy consumption, color accuracy, maximum brightness, and brightness distribution. Apart from the average dynamic brightness, the display passes all DisplayMate tests with flying colors.
DisplayMate emphasizes that the Galaxy Note5 has the best display only for the time being. The Galaxy S6 Edge+ is almost equal according to their assessments on the flexible substrate panel. The 32 GB S6 Edge+ wil be available in most of Europe starting September 4 for 800 Euros.
Samsung announced both the Galaxy Note5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ simultaneously at the Unpacked event in NYC after several months of rumors and speculation.
