Samsung Galaxy Note 6 might launch this summer

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Android phablet to get a successor this summer

Although Note phablets usually launch at IFA in September, it looks like the next one might launch in July.

Samsung's new Galaxy Note phablets arrived at the IFA trade show in the fall so far, but it seems like things are about to change. According to the latest rumors quoted by SamMobile, Samsung's next-gen phablet will launch straight in the middle of the summer.

The rumor comes from South Korea and, if it turns out to be true, Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will launch in July. To make it even more interesting, the same source reveals that the new Note phablet will launch loaded with Android N, the next major iteration of Google's mobile operating system. Obviously, both Samsung and Google did not confirm anything yet.

Google already unleashed a developer preview of the next major Android release, but the launch date of the final product still has to be announced. However, even if Android N launches after Galaxy Note 6, OEMs are expected to receive access to it this summer, so everything is possible.
