Samsung Galaxy Note 6 could receive IP68 certification and integrated iris scanner
The Galaxy Note 6 may receive the same IP68 certification for dust and water resistance as its Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge siblings according to sources close to Sam Mobile. If so, then the Note 6 can be submerged in 6 inches of water for up to 30 minutes and still operate without any issues. Additionally, the Galaxy Club magazine claims that the phablet will include an "Iris Cam" for unlocking the device without any physical inputs from the user.
Earlier rumors about the Note 6 say that the phablet will include a 5.8-inch display and as much as 6 GB of RAM. The device should also see an official launch across Europe unlike the previous Galaxy Note 5. Analysts are expecting an official reveal sometime this June or Fall at the latest.
The Galaxy Note 5 received praise from the media for its improved design over the Note 4. Nonetheless, it was criticized for actually featuring less options than the Note 4 including the lack of a replaceable battery, IR blaster, MHL support, and MicroSD slot. The Note 6 may bring all these back and more if the lauded Galaxy S7 is any indication.
