A retailer has published US pricing for the Rocket Lake-S series, Intel's upcoming 11th Gen desktop processors. Not only are Rocket Lake-S processors more expensive than their Comet Lake-S predecessors, but they are also more expensive than the Ryzen 5 5600X, Ryzen 7 5800X and Ryzen 9 5900X from AMD.

The leaks about Intel's upcoming Rocket Lake-S series keep coming, as American retailer Milwaukee PC has seemingly revealed US pricing for the entire product stack. Earlier this week, Wccftech reported that Intel would launch Rocket Lake-S on March 16, with reviews for the 11th Gen processors supposedly embargoed until the end of March.

According to Milwaukee PC, Intel will launch the Rocket Lake-S for between US$179.99 and US$599.99. Please note that the prices below do not include sales taxes:

  • Core i9-11900K - US$599.99
  • Core i9-11900KF - US$579.99
  • Core i9-11900 - US$509.99
  • Core i9-11900F - US$479.99
  • Core i7-11700K - US$484.99
  • Core i7-11700KF - US$454.99
  • Core i7-11700 - US$389.99
  • Core i7-11700F - US$359.99
  • Core i5-11600K - US$309.99
  • Core i5-11600KF - US$279.99
  • Core i5-11600 - US$264.99
  • Core i5-11500 - US$234.99
  • Core i5-11400 - US$214.99
  • Core i5-11400F - US$179.99

A few things stand out from those prices, in our opinion. As far as we can tell, Rocket Lake-S processors will be more expensive than their Comet Lake-S counterparts' current prices, albeit by different amounts. We cannot rely on Intel's Recommended Customer Price (RCP) here though, as those 'typically represent 1,000-unit purchase quantities'. Amazon currently sells the Core i9-10900K for US$449.99, for example, and charges US$326.74 for the Core i7-10700K.

Additionally, AMD's Vermeer processors look competitive against Intel's Rocket Lake ones. It is worth remembering that Zen 3 processors are unlocked, making the Ryzen 5 5600X, Ryzen 7 5800X and Ryzen 9 5900X comparable against the Core i5-11600K, Core i7-11700K and the Core i9-11900K, respectively. Assuming MSRP for these Vermeer processors, then the Ryzen 5 5600X is US$10.99 cheaper than the Core i5-11600K, with the Ryzen 7 5800X priced at US$35.99 less than the Core i7-11700K. Likewise, the Ryzen 9 5900X comes in at US$50.99 under the Core i9-11900K, despite having two additional cores. It is not worth mentioning the US$799 Ryzen 9 5950X here, in our opinion, as its 16 cores makes it incomparable with any Rocket Lake-S processors.

This is not the first time that retailers have leaked Rocket Lake-S prices, though. As we reported, a German retailer has already started selling the Core i7-11700K for €469, which is in line with prices that 2Compute revealed last month. However, it seems that Milwaukee PC is the first retailer to publish US pricing for the upcoming processors. Unsurprisingly, the retailer has already amended its website to not show any 11th Gen prices. We have included screenshots of the prices below, for reference.
