Roborock launches new powerful Qrevo Master robot vacuum
The Roborock Qrevo Master robot vacuum and mop is now available in North America and Europe. The model sits at the top of the Qrevo range and was spotted in Singapore in May. The brand describes it as a sub-flagship device below the S8 MaxV Ultra.
The Qrevo Master is the first robot vacuum from the brand to feature the FlexiArm side brush and mop, ensuring all corners and edges of the room are cleaned; Roborock goes so far as to say it has 100% floor coverage. The vacuum offers 10,000Pa suction power, matching the S8 MaxV Ultra, with a DuoRoller Riser brush said to pick up 99% of hair. Plus, scrapers at the end of the brush cut tangled hair so it is released from the brush into the vacuum. Another difference between the new Qrevo Master and the older S8 MaxV Ultra is the mopping system; the Qrevo’s mops spin, while the S8 MaxV Ultra vibrates for a deeper clean. In both cases, the mops lift when a carpet is detected.
The Multifunctional Dock 3.0 can use hot water and built-in scrapers to wash the mop and clean the base station. A dirt detection tool determines if the mops are clean before drying with hot air. On top of this, the vacuum’s onboard dustbin and dirty water tank are emptied at the docking station, and the clean water tank is refilled for up to seven weeks of hands-free cleaning. The robot uses a structured-light 3D scanner and RGB camera to navigate your home while avoiding 62 types of objects, including your pet. Another new tool is SmartPlan mode, which intelligently generates a cleaning mode and related settings, and you can control the device with various voice assistants, including Hello Rocky, Amazon Alexa and Siri.
