The well-known smartphone industry tipster Ice universe has sparked a flurry of speculation with two enigmatic tweets pertaining to Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Note 10. His two clues consisted of the simple line “Da Vinci is symmetrical,” which was followed by a tweet containing a picture of the famous Vitruvian Man drawing created by Leonardo da Vinci.

Ice universe has initiated a guessing game on Twitter thanks to two recent posts about the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 phablet. The Note 10 is one of the most eagerly awaited devices around at the moment and fans are keen to learn every single tidbit possible about the flagship phablet. A tweet of “Da Vinci is symmetrical” followed by an image of the Vitruvian Man has led commentators to make some interesting guesses about the forthcoming phablet.

It’s already well known that “Da Vinci” is the codename for Samsung’s next-generation Galaxy Note device. But the simple word “symmetrical” and a post of the drawing renowned for its depiction of the human body’s inherent symmetry have led people to numerous conclusions. A seemingly popular proposition is that all the bezels of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 will be the same size, or at least the top and bottom bezels. The Note 9 had a bit of a chin on it, and it’s possible the design of the successor phablet will have thinner top and bottom bezels that match each other.

Another repeating theme is based on the phablet not having any buttons, a rumor we reported on before. A lot of those responding to the clues about the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 have focused on camera location and design. A single camera cut-out in the center is the most frequently posted suggestion, which is something the designer known as Concept Creator has shared with us already. The S Pen also comes up a lot; in the Galaxy Note 9 the S Pen’s port is in the bottom right of the phablet. It's possible Samsung has come up with a more “symmetrical” location for the input device.

So what can give the Da Vinci/Galaxy Note 10 device symmetry? Buttons in the same places on both sides or no hardware buttons at all would be symmetrical solutions. One punch-hole (“Infinity-O”) in the top center of the display for the front-facing camera also offers symmetry, as would making the bezels match the thickness of their opposite number. Many of these ideas have already been touched on before, but da Vinci was also known for his inventions – so maybe Samsung is preparing something to offer the Galaxy Note 10 the kind of symmetry that no-one has guessed at yet.

One tweeter joked that the Note 10 could have two S Pens, but another suggestion offers a little more credence, even if said in jest. What if the Vitruvian Man is actually “pointing” at the location of the front-facing cameras and the Galaxy Note 10 will actually come with two punch-holes, one in each corner, for a dual selfie camera setup? That would be symmetrical but perhaps a little bit of a risky venture for Samsung with such a premium device like the Note 10.
