Redmi Turbo 4 Pro tipped to feature performance-focused specs and large battery

The Redmi Turbo 3 has yet to see a successor, but past reports have hinted that it's around the corner. However, for the upcoming lineup, Xiaomi will reportedly introduce a Pro variant, and according to Digital Chat Station, this Redmi Turbo 4 Pro will bring performance-focused specs.

More specifically, the reliable tipster reports that the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro will be equipped with the yet-to-be-announced Snapdragon 8s Elite. This report didn't shed light on how much of an improvement this SoC will bring when compared to the 8s Gen 3, but past reports have hinted that it will perform close to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

Digital Chat Station reports that this new SoC will be paired with a 7,000 mAh battery. This would make the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro among the very first sub-flagship phones to feature such a large battery capacity. As for charging, Xiaomi is reportedly planning to offer 90 W fast charging support (140 W Anker 737 power bank curr. $106.48 on Amazon).

Other than that, the Weibo tipster shares that the phone will sport a quad-curved LTPS screen with 1.5K resolution. Digital Chat Station also adds that the mid-frame material will see an upgrade from the Redmi Turbo 3, but the back is still expected to be glass.

Regarding the non-Pro Redmi Turbo 4, it will reportedly come with the MediaTek Dimensity 8400, making it reside below the Pro variant. However, to keep the cost low, Xiaomi could use a plastic frame instead of metal, and Digital Chat Station previously reported that it would have a 6,500 mAh battery, lower than the Pro variant. Both phones are expected to launch in April 2025.
