Poco's next phone will be the Poco M2 Pro. The company seems to be continuing the trend of offering rebadged Redmi phones in its lineup, and new information indicates that the Poco M2 Pro, slated for a July 7 launch, may just be a rebadged Redmi Note 9 Pro.

The Poco M2 Pro has been making the rounds over the past few weeks, with the company directly confirming an imminent launch last week. A launch date for the phone has now also been revealed, along with renders and specifications.

Earlier today, Poco officially confirmed that the Poco M2 Pro would be launched on July 7. That given date is for the Indian launch, and it's unknown if the phone will ever make its way over to Europe. The Poco M2 Pro also surfaced on Geekbench. The Geekbench page shows the phone listed with a Snapdragon 720G and 6 GB of RAM. That may remind you of another phone—the Redmi Note 9 Pro.

It does look like the Poco M2 Pro is just a rebranded Redmi Note 9 Pro, much like the Poco X2 is a rebranded Redmi K30 4G. According to MySmartPrice, the Poco M2 Pro will sport a 48 MP main camera. If that's true, then it's likely the Poco M2 Pro is a rebadged Indian-model Redmi Note 9 Pro. The render shared by the official Poco page seems to support that theory, too.
