Xiaomi has unleashed the Redmi Note 11S 5G, one of three Redmi-branded smartphones revealed today. As its name suggests, the Redmi Note 11S 5G is a 5G version of the Redmi Note 11S that the company already sells. Incidentally, the Redmi Note 11S 5G is a re-branded POCO M4 Pro 5G, with a MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC and a 90 Hz display.
Sadly, the Redmi Note 11S 5G also relies on Android 11, unlike the Redmi 10 5G. Moreover, the Redmi Note 11S 5G has a 6.6-inch FHD display within a 163.56 x 75.78 x 8.75 mm chassis and weighs 195 g. Separately, the Redmi 11S 5G offers a 5,000 mAh battery, 33 W fast charging, dual speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
Furthermore, Xiaomi equips the Redmi Note 11S 5G with a 50 MP primary camera, plus an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, dual 2 MP rear-facing cameras and a 13 MP front-facing sensor. In other words, the Redmi Note 11S 5G has more cameras than the POCO M4 Pro 5G, but also a lower-resolution front-facing camera. Xiaomi has confirmed that the Redmi Note 11S 5G will be available in Midnight Black, Star Blue and Twilight Blue, along with in the following memory configurations:
- 4 GB of RAM/64 GB of storage
- 4 GB of RAM/128 GB of storage
- 6 GB of RAM/128 GB of storage
