Realme hints at three "world's firsts" to come in the form of the new GT2 smartphone series
Realme is now slated to launch the GT2 Pro in less than a week from today (December 14, 2021), in a rumored effort to pre-empt this phone's top-end Xiaomi 12-series rivals. On that note, one take-away from the OEM's latest teaser suggests that it might also unveil a vanilla GT2 during its upcoming major product event.
Should this be the case, it seems both it and its "ultra-premium" Pro counterpart might debut with a completely new and unique kind of build material. Rather than glass, metal or occasionally plastic as is more usual, it is now slated to be "bio-based" for potentially enhanced eco-friendliness.
Whatever this compound turns out to be, it is now slated to be formed into a GT2-series chassis co-developed with the artist Naoto Fukasawa, who also worked with Realme on its recent GT Master special edition smartphones.
The design in question has already allegedly leaked out, and is thus projected to involve the unexpected return of the long thin visor-cam look. The GT2, GT2 Pro or both may also introduce Realme's latest "innovations" in the areas of communication and photography. All in all, it looks like the OEM will have a lot to get through on the subject of its latest phones later this month.
