Deal | HTC VIVE Cosmos Elite and other VR devices are on sale

There is a holiday sale at HTC VIVE, including discounts on the VIVE Cosmos Elite and other VR headsets. The Cosmos Elite headset is on sale for US$399 (~€353); a saving of US$150 (~€133). The VIVE Cosmos Elite Kit is also on sale, costing US$649 (~€574), which means you save US$250 (~€221) off the regular retail price. The kit includes the headset, two VIVE Wand controllers and two 1.0 SteamVR base stations.

The VIVE Cosmos Elite PC-VR headset is similar to its predecessor, the VIVE Cosmos. However, the newer device features external tracking via base stations in place of the camera-based tracking used in the Cosmos. The Cosmos Elite features a 2,800 x 1,700 combined pixel resolution, with LCD panels minimizing the distance between pixels and reducing the screen door effect.

Other VR headsets included in the sale are the VIVE Pro Full Kit for US$900 (~€795) and the VIVE Pro Eye, which is available as the headset on its own for US$799 (~€706) or included in a kit with accessories for US$1,099 (~€971).

These headset deals come with 2-month Viveport Infinity membership, which gives you access to a range of VR games. There are also accessories included in the sale, such as the VIVE Wireless Adapter for US$199 (~€176), VIVE Deluxe Audio Strap for US$69 (~€61).

In the US, HTC has extended its returns policy during the holiday season beyond its usual 14-day window; items purchased between November 22 through December 24 can be returned until January 14. The offers are available to customers in the US and UK until December 19, subject to stock availability.
