The Realme 12 Pro+ with its overhauled design, updated core hardware and a very capable telephoto camera easily makes for a worthy upgrade even if you happen to own last year's model. As a mid-range device stacked up against smartphones like the Redmi Note 13 Pro+, it does fall a bit short when comparing specifications on paper. The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ (Review) surely goes big on bragging rights with a better IP68 rating, faster 120W wired charging and a massive 200-megapixel camera sensor and should be high-up on your list if raw performance is a priority. And these bragging rights do come at a higher starting price of Rs. 31,999 (for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant). But it misses out on a few things that Realme 12 Pro+ latches on to like a leech. There's a class-leading telephoto camera that performs like nothing else we have used in this segment or even above it (Pixel 7a).

The realme 12 Pro+ essentially addressed our complaints with its predecessor and stepped up its game with a class-leading periscope camera that makes it a well-rounded mid-range phone in the Philippines if cameras are your priority. It’s really hard to complain about the 12 Pro+, as it is the only under Php 30k phone in the Philippines to offer a filler-free camera setup that includes a powerful periscope camera.

Overall the realme 12 Pro+ 5G is a solid upgrade from the realme 11 Pro+ 5G. Despite it having a smaller main shooter or 67W charging instead of the 100W they still compensated it with a more battery-efficient display, a more flexible camera, and a much more luxurious design. The other sensors on its cameras are also not just for show, but they deliver a post-worthy quality. The realme 12 Pro + 5G is priced at Php25,999. Starting on March 7 up to March 15 you can get it for Php21, 999 on realme official Lazada, Shopee, and Tiktok shops. If you are planning to upgrade to realme 12 Pro + we hope that this video helped you decide. So that is our review of the realme 12 Pro + 5G! The realme 12 Pro+ 5G might not have changed too much in terms of design compared to its predecessor, but realme did make changes where it matters – performance and camera. Consequently, realme didn’t make the phone too expensive despite the serious performance and camera upgrades. At a price of just Php 25,999 (with special intro price of Php 21,999 via Lazada, Shopee and Tiktok Shop), it is a bit more expensive than before. But given the upgrades, I would say it is justified. However, the price increase does mean it has a lot more serious contenders to go up against. Even if you already have the realme 11 Pro+ 5G 11, you won’t feel short-handed if you do trade up. Nonetheless, the realme 12 Pro+ 5G is a great phone to buy especially if you already need to upgrade to a new model this early 2024.

The realme 12 Pro Plus 5G meets many of the requirements that potential buyers have when choosing a smartphone in this price range, but it does have some drawbacks. The smartphone has a great, quite unusual design, a quality display with good ergonomics and smoothness of operation, making the content viewing experience enjoyable. The cameras are mostly good and will surprise you if you’ve never used a periscope camera on a phone before. The clarity and level of detail in the photos will definitely impress. The processor is decent enough, but don’t expect it to be the fastest in its price segment. Battery life is another plus for this device. Nevertheless, for those seeking first-class aesthetics in design and excellent camera capabilities at an affordable price, the realme 12 Pro Plus will be a great choice.

The Realme 12 Pro Plus is the company’s attempt to attract a photography-centric audience. It offers a premium design with a soft touch finish, a long-lasting battery, and excellent haptics. The cameras are one of the best in this range, with a flagship-grade periscope lens with 3x optical zoom, which is a first in this segment. However, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 is only suitable for casual usage and isn’t made for intense gaming. Furthermore, the promise of only two years of OS updates and the inclusion of bloatware is disappointing. The display brightness is also average, and the lack of Dolby Vision and HDR features puts it behind the competition. If you prioritize an excellent periscope camera and love taking portraits, look no further than the Realme 12 Pro Plus. Otherwise, you can consider other options like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus, Oppo Reno 11, iQOO Neo 7 Pro, and Motorola Edge 40 in the same price segment.

For a starting price of Rs 29,999, the Realme 12 Pro+ gives you a striking design, excellent battery life, a periscope telephoto sensor, and a generally good camera performance. However, when stacked against its competitors in the same price range, the phone appears to fall behind in some departments. To begin with, the display isn’t the best in the segment. Then, there’s the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, which isn’t the most capable and may not age well a couple of years down the line. Finally, you have minor but notable weak points like the maximum onboard storage option being limited to just 256GB, support for fast charging reduced to 67W, and protection being limited to just IP65, which can influence your purchase decision, considering that the competition offers them in the same price range.

Both Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro Plus provide what they claimed and that is a premium user experience. This premium experience can be seen everywhere, including its leather design, superb display, speedy chipsets, excellent cameras, and great batteries. These are its greatest strengths. On top of that, the curved nature of the displays further enhances the premium experience of the new smartphones. However, there are some cons as well, especially if you consider the prices of the two smartphones, which are not cheap by any means. One of the major cons is the lack of any display protection. In the premium smartphone category, this is a must. The second would be the lack of wireless charging, which is not a must but would have been nice to have. It would have certainly set it apart from others in the market. Right now, the new smartphone doesn’t offer much that its competition in the same price bracket doesn’t already offer, except for the cameras. The cameras of the Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro Plus are indeed better than the competition.

Clearly, Realme bets on design and camera experience with the 12 Pro+. Battery life is considerably above average too, but it may be a bit hard to justify the higher price tag compared to its predecessor. The latter had faster charging and a better main camera. The display is largely unimpressive too. It's good enough, but falls behind the competition in terms of max brightness. Some more powerful chipsets are also available. Do we recommend the 12 Pro+? It depends. Suppose you want long battery life with decently fast charging - yes. You also get а very competent 3x periscope telephoto camera and premium design. However, better all-rounders can be had for the same price, so if you are after the best value for your money, you might want to shop around.

Chinese smartphone brand Realme has frequently referred to itself as a technology democratiser. While this claim may not hold true for all models in its lineup, the top-end model in its number series certainly makes a compelling case for it. Known as the Realme 12 Pro+, this smartphone delivers flagship-grade design, display, camera system, performance, and battery life, all starting at Rs 33,999. On paper, the Realme 12 Pro+ appears to offer excellent value for money in the midrange segment. However, whether it lives up to its on-paper promises remains to be seen. Let us delve into details to find out: Design The Realme 12 Pro Plus, in the Submarine Blue colour variant under review, features a leather-finished back cover with a watch-like design for the camera and a gold-coloured frame.

The Realme 12 Pro+ stands out as a versatile 5G smartphone, handling everyday tasks smoothly and swiftly. It supports heavy gaming titles, boasts solid battery life under moderate use, and features a vibrant display with impressive colour reproduction. The daylight camera performs well, providing good image quality. However, the Realme 12 Pro+ is a standout in its price range. With an attractive design featuring a leather finish, a sharp display, and reliable performance, it’s complemented by an improved Realme UI. The primary and telephoto cameras deliver impressive results in various scenarios, and the battery life is commendable. If these features are something you look for in a device, the Realme 12 Pro+ would be a worthwhile investment.

The Realme 12 Pro Plus is a premium-looking device that ticks almost all the boxes. The main and telephoto cameras take excellent pictures during daytime and in low light conditions. The screen, speakers, and charging speeds, all are on par with other devices in the price bracket. However, the phone is bogged down by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, which might not be as snappy as other phones that cost the same two to three years down the line. Moreover, for reasons unknown, Realme has limited storage capacity to 256GB, which might be a bummer for some. But if you can overlook the aforementioned cons and are looking for a phone that feels premium and has an excellent primary and telephoto camera for the asking price, the Realme 12 Pro Plus might be the only choice under Rs 30,000, at least for now.

The realme 12 Pro+ 5G offers remarkable specs and features for its pricing (₹29,999). The realme 12 Pro+ 5G has redefined the smartphone camera landscape by introducing a groundbreaking camera setup (50 MP IMX890 + 64 MP OV64B periscope + 8 MP ultra-wide) challenging the flagship smartphones in the market. You get a periscope lens for portraits, twice the OIS for two cameras, 3x optical zoom, 6x in-sensor zoom, and as much as 120x SuperZoom. The camera trio is a delightful surprise for its segment, making it a highly recommended choice for photography enthusiasts for this budget. The camera’s exceptional specs also make it a perfect contender against many smartphones in this price range. With a stylish and premium vegan leather design, smooth 120 Hz curved AMOLED screen, snappy performance (Snapdragon 7s Gen 2), a powerful camera setup, and perks from realme UI 5.0, the realme 12 Pro+ 5G stands out as the best performer in its class. The realme 12 Pro+ 5G is highly recommended for those seeking a smartphone within the ₹30,000 budget range.

The Realme 12 Pro Plus 5G ticks many right boxes but has some weaknesses. It has a dandy display with good ergonomics and smoothness that makes the experience good. The cameras are mostly good and will wow you if you have never used a periscope camera on a phone before. The amount of clarity and details in photos will appeal to you. The processor is good but you cannot expect it to be the fastest in its segment. Its design is subjective, but there is no denying the overall finish of the phone is plush. The battery life is another plus point. If cameras are one thing you are prioritising in a phone over other things, the Realme 12 Pro Plus 5G should be your consideration at under Rs 30,000. If you want better performance, do not zero in before looking at the competition. There is the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus and the POCO X6 Pro, both of which offer better performance at the expense of a periscope camera.

The all-new Realme 12 Pro+ can be yours at a starting price of Rs 29,999. Some alternatives to this smartphone include POCO X6 Pro (review), Motorola Edge 40 (review), and Redmi Note 13 Pro+ (review), all of which offer relatively better performance and viewing experience. Additionally, Motorola and Redmi smartphones come with a superior ingress protection rating – IP68, as opposed to IP65. Nevertheless, the Realme 12 Pro+ emerges as an impressive smartphone for its price. The handset exhibits a nice design with a leather finish, a crisp display, and reliable performance, complemented by Realme UI which looks more user-friendly than before. The primary and telephoto cameras of the smartphone are also remarkable in most scenarios, and the battery backup is quite respectable. If these aspects appeal to you, the Realme 12 Pro+ would be a worthwhile investment.

The Realme 12 Pro+ 5G is a pretty good deal. You get a good display, a good battery performance, a premium-looking design, pretty decent camera, especially if you are a fan of portrait shots, and largely decent general performance. The only downside I can point out in the phone is the sometimes-laggy in-display fingerprint sensor and the bloatware in the UI. The latter is easily fixable. However, looking at the pricing of the Realme 12 Pro+ 5G, I really think the smartphone is still a pretty good deal. The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G, which is the biggest competitor of the Realme 12 Pro+ 5G, also has a largely similar performance overall. So, unless you are particularly a fan of Xiaomi phones, the Realme 12 Pro+ 5G definitely is a battery value for money.

The main change in the realme 12 Pro compared to last year’s model is the full, versatile camera setup: there’s a decent main module, a telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, and a wide-angle lens. However, these are all present in many competitors for roughly the same price. What else does the new model offer? Well, first and foremost, it’s the design, which may be a matter of taste, but it certainly stands out from the crowd. Additionally, there’s a quality curved screen, good stereo speakers, and a very durable battery. What can be listed in the “cons” section? The screen, while vibrant with its 120Hz AMOLED, has too low a maximum brightness for sunny days and suffers from glare and fading. The processor isn’t particularly productive (there’s been no progress since last year), and competitors at this price point may offer something better.

Realme offers the Realme 12 Pro comes in two configurations: 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. The two variants are priced at Rs 25,999 and Rs 26,999, respectively. For that price, you get a device with a striking design, a great display, good overall cameras, and an all-day battery life. However, you do have to make some compromises in terms of performance and software. As such, whether you should buy the Realme 12 Pro or not boils down to what you want in a device. On the other hand, if you’re looking for alternatives, there are a few notable ones you can consider. These include the OnePlus Nord CE3, Redmi Note 13 Pro+, Motorola Edge 40 Neo, and the POCO X6 Pro. While the Realme 12 Pro+ is another option worth considering, what you’re essentially getting by paying Rs 4,000 extra is a slightly improved performance (with better multitasking capabilities) and better cameras.

While the Realme 12 Pro offers good performance, it faces heat from the POCO X6 5G (review), which comes at a lower price point and a better processor. The 12 Pro’s telephoto camera also lets you click some incredible pictures. In most other departments – display, battery, and others, the phone fares well, but doesn’t offer anything that makes it particularly extraordinary. However, its highlight feature is its design, as this is easily the best-looking phone you can buy in this price segment… and that definitely makes worth a closer look.

To answer the question in the title, is the Realme 12 Pro the best phone under Rs. 25,000? It has a decent set of cameras that gives you a wide, ultrawide, and dedicated telephoto lens. The processor and RAM combination is powerful enough to handle multitasking and future updates. And the battery management & charging tech is also at par with some of the more expensive phones. On the other hand, the display isn’t bright enough for outdoor use, some features in the UI don’t work, and the images are still not as good as they should be with the current specs. That said, at Rs 23,999, the Realme 12 Pro is a good option if you want a mid-range smartphone for daily use. Realme has also bagged recognition for being a reliable smartphone service provider. So you can also expect good after-sales support if you go for this device. As for me, I’ve seen Realme make some bold phones in the past, and the theme seems to slow down with the Realme 12 Pro lineup. It is a great package with decent specs, and should easily last you a couple of years.

The Realme 12 Pro lives up to its promises, offering the best design and impressive cameras for under ₹25,000. While its low-light camera performance could be better, the design is nearly flawless, with the potential for improvement with a metal frame in the future. This phone is striking and bound to attract attention from onlookers. However, it’s not a jack-of-all-trades. Performance-wise, it’s on par with its 2023 predecessor, making it less appealing to power users. The iQOO Z7 Pro and POCO X6 Pro would be better choices for such users. Additionally, the battery life, while decent, isn’t remarkable. Nevertheless, it shines where it claims it will. However, for those seeking an elegant device with a good display and impressive camera capabilities, the Realme 12 Pro is an excellent choice.

With a starting price of Rs. 25,999, the Realme 12 Pro 5G has plenty of phones to compete with. Some of the recently launched phones that come to mind are the Redmi Note 13 Pro and the Poco X6 Pro (Review). The Realme 12 Pro 5G is a good-looking smartphone with several things going for it. You get a unique design with a vegan leather finish, a good display with a 120Hz refresh rate, the performance is good enough for daily use and some gaming, the battery lasts long, and you can top it up quickly, and the cameras offer very good results in daylight. There's not a lot you're missing out on. It's a great phone for the price, but the only question is, would I recommend it over phones like the Poco X6 Pro? If cameras and design are more important to you, then you should buy the Realme 12 Pro; if performance is more important, then I'd say go for the Poco.

The realme 12 Pro 5G offers impressive specs and features that redefine expectations in its price segment. The smartphone shines out with its great camera setup including a 50 MP IMX882 OIS shooter and a 32 MP telephoto for portraits at ₹25,999 can give you a wonderful experience on a budget. Combined with its stylish and premium vegan leather design, a smooth 120 Hz curved AMOLED screen, responsive performance driven by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, and additional benefits from realme UI 5.0, the realme 12 Pro 5G stands out as one of the best smartphones in the segment.

The Realme 12 Pro is an all-rounder 5G smartphone that can perform general tasks smoothly and quickly. The heavy titles are playable and the battery life is also solid with moderate usage. People are also getting a good quality display with vibrant colours and a capable daylight camera. The Realme 12 Pro can be a good buy if you are looking for a decent experience in all areas, but those who want a faster-performing phone for gaming can consider looking at other options like the Poco X6 Pro or OnePlus Nord 3.

For selfies and video calls, Realme has included a 16-megapixel camera, the same as last year. What's not the same as last year is the processor. The Realme 12 Pro 5G comes with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, which is a 4nm chipset said to provide better performance and efficiency when compared to the older model. I'll have to test the claims to find out if it's true, but everything seemed smooth at first glance. The chipset is paired with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB onboard storage. The handset gets dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and GPS connectivity. Realme has packed a 5,000mAh battery on the Realme 12 Pro 5G with 67W fast charging support, the same as last year. I'll test the battery performance in my full review. The phone runs Android 14-based RealmeUI out-of-the-box, and you do get plenty of bloatware.

From its premium-looking design to its IP65 rating, the Realme 12 Pro+ seems to offer incredible value for money, given the underlying hardware. There's also the high-end telephoto camera which Realme has somehow managed to squeeze into this package and price point. This should make it easier to combat offerings from Xiaomi and its Redmi Note 13 series of devices, which lack a dedicated telephoto camera and bank on lossless in-sensor zoom using their 200-megapixel cameras. So, stay tuned to our full review to find out if Realme's new 12 Pro+ manages to be a solid, well-rounded offering in the mid-range smartphone segment or falls flat with execution.

Realme has always offered something unique with its number series, and the Realme 12 Pro is another step in the right direction. The phone has a beautiful 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 can handle day-to-day tasks, although it is not made for intense gaming. It also offers excellent cameras with a 2x periscope lens, a first in this segment. Realme UI 5.0 feels more refined; however, it still suffers from the inclusion of bloatware, and the promise of only 2 OS updates is disappointing. The 5,000mAh battery can easily last a day, and the 67W charger can top it within an hour. Overall, the Realme 12 Pro is a great device if you want a camera-centric smartphone with a premium design. You can also consider options like the Poco X6 Pro, Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro and the Oppo Reno 11 in this segment.

The Realme 12+ 5G shines in two key areas – design and camera. Priced at ₹20,999, the Realme 12+ 5G stands out due its well though out design language; something that most companies shirk off at this price point. Plus, its primary camera shows great promise with good tuning. The Realme 12+ 5G is a no brainer for those who want a eye-turner phone that clicks some great pictures. However, if you’re a gamer or someone who wants long-lasting battery life, there are some options in the market that are better. One example is the POCO X6 5G that beats out the Realme 12+ in both these key areas. Also, if you want a cleaner UI, the Nothing Phone (2a) is a good option that costs just ₹3,000 more.

The realme 12+ is an affordable 5G smartphone that offers a good core smartphone experience at a decent price. From its 120Hz display to the excellent primary camera, it is a pretty balanced device, and its premium finish makes it a one good-looking smartphone. If you are looking for a smartphone under Rs 20,000 that has a great display, camera, performance, and battery life, the Realme 12+ is a good choice, which only seems to compromise with its bloatware-filled software experience.

The Realme 12+ 5G hits the mark in its price range. Its camera system is impressive, capturing clear and detailed photos, especially in portrait mode. While the performance is decent, the presence of bloatware is a bit of a downside, though you can remove unwanted apps easily. Gaming on it is smooth, and it doesn't heat up too much. Overall, if you're in the market for a phone under Rs 20,000 with bank offers, the Realme 12+ 5G is definitely worth considering.

Overall the realme 12+ 5G is a good offering by realme in the mid-range market. It has good performance, good camera qualities, and a premium vegan leather design. Even though it doesn’t look as luxurious as its Pro+ counterpart still switching from a plastic or glass back towards a vegan leather design is a refreshing experience. The realme 12+ 5G is priced at Php 17,999 pesos. Starting on March 7 up to March 15 you can get it for 14, 999 pesos on Realme’s official Lazada, Shopee, and Tiktok shops. If you are eyeing a new mid-range device that is affordable but offers a vegan leather design, good cameras, and decent performance then the realme 12+ 5G is a good upgrade path.

Before we conclude, I may have to address what everyone who made it this far is probably thinking, how much is it? With a suggested retail price of Php17,999 for the 12GB+128GB variant and Php19,999 for the 12GB+256GB variant. However, realme Philippines is offering this at an introductory price of Php14,999 (via Lazada, Shopee and Tiktok Shop) and Php16,599 (Shopee-exclusive), respectively. At its core, the realme 12+ 5G is well rounded. Users can find themselves subject to a decent viewing experience, great cameras, and an even better battery performance. If you want a gaming device, however, this may not be the ideal smartphone for you. The realme 12+ 5G’s strength lies mostly on the camera capabilities, battery life and unique design.

Overall, the realme 12+ 5G is a versatile performer offering features typically not found in this segment, the smartphone turns out to be the best in the segment with its sleek and ultra-slim vegan leather finish IP54 design, reliable camera package, smooth performance (Dimensity 7050), super fast charging (67W), and stunning 2,000 nits high brightness 120 Hz AMOLED display with Rainwater Smart Touch technology. For those looking for a smartphone in the ₹20,000 to ₹25,000 price range, the realme 12+ 5G is an excellent choice in the midrange segment. The price starts at ₹20,999 for its 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage variant which can be grabbed at ₹18,999 with launch offers.

For the starting price of Rs. 20,999, the Realme 12+ 5G seems like an excellent budget phone. I'll test the camera, performance, software, and battery life to see how it fares. The Sony LYT-600 sensor with OIS is surely rare in this segment. The phone will compete with the recently launched Nothing Phone 2a(Review), a really good budget smartphone.

The Realme 12+ can be obtained for under Rs 19,000 with bank offers as part of the early bird deal. Otherwise, the handset retails at Rs 20,999 for the 128GB storage variant, while the 256GB variant costs Rs 21,999. This is quite close to the asking price of the Realme 12 Pro, which comes with a curved-edge display and a 2x telephoto lens, offering superior close-up shots without the need to approach the subject closely. That said, the performance and display brightness of the device are somewhat underwhelming in comparison. Other competitors of the phone include Nothing Phone (2a) (review), Motorola Edge 40 Neo (review), and Samsung Galaxy F54 5G (review). Nevertheless, the Realme 12+ manages to set itself apart with its striking design, featuring a vegan leather back and camera module inspired by luxury watches.

The first plus model under realme’s non-Pro, numbered series is exciting especially with the performance of its main camera. It’s low-light performance is better than most of its rivals in its mid-range segment, and the realme 12+ also gets the same luxurious design as the 12 Pro+ in a sleek boxy body. The big question right now is how much realme plans to price the 12+ in the Philippines. We really hope realme keeps the 12+ below Php 20k to make it a solid mid-range offering in the Philippines especially for those who are looking for top-notch camera performance. realme will reveal the pricing and availability of the 12 series on March 7.

When compared with its competitors, the Realme 12 loses out to the Redmi Note 13 (review), which packs an AMOLED display with higher peak brightness and a better chipset for gaming needs. The Infinix Note 30 (review), though slightly dated now, boasts a JBL-powered speaker, ensuring crisp audio quality. The Realme smartphone, in contrast, offers a sleek design. Its performance is also satisfactory for most daily activities, and the cameras excel in daylight. Furthermore, its battery life aligns well with its performance, offering long-lasting backup, making the Realme 12 a viable choice for those prioritising endurance over other features.

The Realme 12 5G offers a great blend of style and substance with its watch-inspired design and excellent cameras. It features a large 6.67-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, excellent cameras and long-lasting battery life. However, you will need to contend with a plastic build, LCD display and pre-installed apps. If cameras and design are your priorities, look no further than the Realme 12 5G in this segment. Otherwise, phones like the Lava Curve 5G, Samsung Galaxy F15 5G, and Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 offer much better specifications at a similar price.
