Razer Hammerhead True Wireless: The first earbuds with ultra-low latency Bluetooth
Razer has introduced the Hammerhead True Wireless, the latest device in its Hammerhead family. The Hammerhead True Wireless are also the first truly wireless pair of earbuds that Razer has released, and the only currently on the market that offer an ultra-low latency Bluetooth connection. According to Razer, the earbuds can stream audio at 60 ms, which is significantly lower than other wireless earbuds and even headphones like the Sony WH-1000XM3. The latter have between 160 ms and 200 ms latency according to multiple sources, although Sony has not confirmed this.
The Hammerhead True Wireless feature two 13 mm drivers that can reproduce frequencies from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. The earbuds weigh 45 g, while each includes an omnidirectional microphone and touch controls. The earbuds also have a 275 mAh Li-Po battery that should last up to three hours between charges and 16 hours with the included charging case. Razer reports that they will take up to 90 minutes to fully recharge too.
The earbuds are also IPX4 certified and support Bluetooth 5.0. The Razer Hammerhead True Wireless are available to order now for US$99.99 or £99.99 in the UK and €119.99 in the Eurozone.
