The latest Lenovo LOQ 15 gaming laptop can now be yours for less than $1,000. The affordable gaming laptop is built for FHD gaming with an RTX 5060 mobile GPU and a Ryzen 7 250 CPU under the hood. There is also a 144 Hz FHD IPS display around the front.

Among the plethora of budget-oriented gaming laptops available on the market, the Lenovo LOQ machines stand out as some of the best. A combination of decently powerful hardware, durable shells, and muted designs often makes the Lenovo LOQ gaming laptops pretty easy to recommend to cash-strapped gamers. This was exactly the case for the LOQ 15 (2025) with the RTX 5060 when we reviewed back in July.

The Lenovo LOQ 15 (2025) showed several strengths in our testing, including build quality, inputs, screen, and performance. As such, if you are in the market for an affordable gaming laptop, the Lenovo LOQ 15 definitely deserves your attention, especially now that the notebook is retailing for just $799.99 on Lenovo’s store.

The Lenovo LOQ 15 on sale packs an RTX 5060 laptop GPU, an 8-core Ryzen 7 250, 16 GB of DDR5-5600 memory, 512 GB of Gen 4 storage, and a 15.6-inch IPS display. The laptop also carries a full-sized keyboard with adjustable backlighting, a 5 MP webcam, and Wi-Fi 6E/BT 5.2.

As a budget gaming laptop, there is little to complain about the Lenovo LOQ 15. The machine hits almost all of the most important notes, like the display, performance, port selection, etc.

Starting with the display, the 15.6-inch IPS panel features FHD resolution and a 144 Hz refresh rate. We measured around 300 nits of brightness, a good contrast ratio of 1,600:1, and full sRGB coverage. So, as far as gaming is concerned, the Lenovo LOQ 15’s screen should satisfy most users.

The same can be said for the performance, as the RTX 5060 and the Ryzen 7 250 provide sufficient grunt for 1080p gaming but not more. So, while you can play modern AAA titles at 60 FPS at 1080p with high/ultra settings, you’ll need to rely on DLSS for QHD.

Sadly, the Lenovo LOQ is pretty unremarkable when it comes to battery life, noise, and thermals. These issues aren’t really deal breakers, but they can still annoy some gamers.

All in all, the Lenovo LOQ 15 is a budget gaming laptop that is well worth its current asking price of $800. A storage and RAM upgrade down the line, thanks to the available SO-DIMM and M.2 slots, will make the laptop even better.
