RTX 4060 and RTX 4060 Ti release reportedly set for May as packaging design for the AIB RTX 4060 Ti models surface
Starting with the purported launch of the RTX 4070 on April 13, NVIDIA is expected to unveil the mid-range RTX 40 GPUs over the next months. Now, courtesy of Wccftech, we may have an actual release window for the RTX 4060 and the RTX 4060 Ti.
Per Wccftech, NVIDIA will launch the AD107-400 RTX 4060 and the AD106-350 RTX 4060 Ti in May. We have no confirmation whether this is accurate. However, NVIDIA has seemingly started sending AIB partners marketing materials regarding the RTX 4060 Ti which could mean that the launch of the GPU is close (via MEGAsizeGPU).
The RTX 4060 and the RTX 4060 Ti reportedly employ AD107 and AD106 GPUs with 3072 and 4352 CUDA cores respectively. Both cards are said to feature 8 GB of GDDR6 memory and a 128-bit wide bus. While we don’t know the exact clock speeds of the boards, T4C Fantasy, a GPU database editor at TechPowerUp, has alleged on Twitter that the RTX 4060 Ti will rock a base clock of 2,310 MHz and a boost clock of 2,535 MHz with “premium AIB” cards potentially reaching 2,745 MHz.
Based on the rumored specifications and the clock speed targets, VideoCards estimated that the RTX 4060 Ti could have a raw compute performance of 22 TFLOPS, essentially matching the RTX 3070 Ti.
As always, take the release date and other information listed here with a grain of salt as NVIDIA has yet to confirm any of it.
