Anbernic should be releasing its latest member in the RG35XX series later this month. Potentially, the RG Slide will not be far behind either, given the company’s increasing volume of teasers. In the meantime, Anbernic has showcased the RG35XX Pro, this time in a video that spans nearly 10 minutes.
Embedded below, the video finally confirms the device’s dimensions, which come in at 128 x 81 x 22 mm. In other words, the addition of two joysticks adds 9 mm in height compared to the similar RG35XX Plus (curr. $64.99 on Amazon) but a mere 4 g to bring the RG35XX Pro up to around 190 g.
Anbernic has confirmed that all three colour options have matte finishes too, which should minimise fingerprinting. All versions will ship with minimal accessories in the box, albeit effectively only a USB Type-A to Type-C data and charging cable. Moreover, Anbernic reiterates that the RG35XX Pro is powerful enough to emulate up to PlayStation Portable (PSP) games, despite making no underlying hardware changes from recent RG35XX releases. The RG35XX Pro should be available on June 10 starting at $44.99 with a 64 GB microSD card included.
