Powkiddy has only just announced the V10, its first new gaming handheld since the RGB20SX (curr. $102.99 on Amazon). Nonetheless, Retro Handhelds has obtained information about another future gaming handheld by the company that is set to arrive as the K56. As Retro Handheldstheorises, the branding of the K56 implies that it is an effective successor to last year's X55.
Accordingly, the K56 is a horizontal gaming handheld with a pair of joysticks and two sets of shoulder buttons, as well as ABXY and d-pad buttons finished in an orange accent. Moreover, it appears that the K56 is actively cooled, denoted by the small vent on its rear side. On top of that, the 212 x 90 x 17 mm has a somewhat ergonomic design and the following visible ports:
- 1x 3.5 mm jack
- 1x MicroSD card reader
- 1x mini HDMI
- 2x USB Type-C
Furthermore, Powkiddy is rumoured to have equipped the K56 with MediaTek's Helio G99 chipset, which we have already reviewed in mid-range smartphones like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G. In other words, the Powkiddy K56 should be about as powerful as the AYANEO Pocket Micro, KT Pocket R1 and ZPG A1 Unicorn, of which only the KT Pocket R1 is available at the time of writing. Unfortunately, other details about the Powkiddy RK46 remain unknown for now.
