Denza Z pushes the limits: 1,582-PS electric car hits 1,000 orders in 24 hours

Denza Z as an electric powerhouse: The Denza Z is not just an ultra-stylish electric sports car, but a true electric hypercar in the category of fully electric supercars. Even electric missiles such as the Xiaomi SU7 have to take notice: With an astonishing system output of 1,582 hp (1,180 kW), the Denza Z also takes on established competitors such as the Porsche 911 Turbo S and gives them a serious challenge. More information: All images, details, information and specifications of the Denza Z electric hypercar.
The top-of-the-range Denza Z Racing launches this electric dream car from China from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.96 seconds thanks to its three electric motors and reaches a top speed of 350 km/h. The Denza Z Coupe and the Denza Z Spider convertible version also deliver acceleration figures at an absolute hypercar level, sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.25 and 2.30 seconds respectively.

In addition to its pure performance figures, the pricing strategy in particular is generating plenty of discussion. On its Chinese home market, the electric coupe starts at a highly competitive price of 680,000 yuan (around €88,000). The Denza Z Cabrio launches at 780,000 yuan (€100,000), while the extremely track-focused Denza Z Racing comes in at 1.18 million yuan (€152,000).
In Europe, the Denza Z is expected to become significantly more expensive, with prices starting at least around €160,000, but considering the performance and equipment on offer, it still maintains an aggressive price-performance ratio.
Under the leadership of chief designer Wolfgang Egger, BYD is showcasing the full extent of its technological capabilities. The Denza Z is based on the new e3 platform and features steer-by-wire technology without a mechanical steering column, as well as the adaptive DiSus-M suspension system with magnetorheological damping adjustment within milliseconds.
For rapid charging stops, the vehicle uses the second-generation Blade Battery based on an 800-volt architecture, enabling charging from 10 to 70 percent in just five minutes. In autumn 2026, the Chinese electric supercar is also set to attempt a record run on the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
