The PinRuis is a new portable monitor that sets itself apart from most other displays with its unique aspect ratio. It can be mounted underneath or beside a conventional display to create a multiscreen setup.

A wide range of portable monitors are readily available through retailers such as Amazon. The PinRuis is a new portable display with a not-so-typical form factor, featuring an ultrawide 32:9 aspect ratio. The 14-inch monitor boasts a 3,840 x 1,100 resolution and a 60 Hz refresh rate. Whilst this isn't particularly fast, a high refresh rate matters more in specific applications, especially gaming, which the PinRuis is unlikely to be used for. According to official specs, the display is capable of delivering 100% sRGB coverage.

The monitor features several video input options, including Mini HDMI and USB-C, alongside three USB 3.0 Type A ports and an obligatory 3.5 mm headphone jack. The PinRuis can also function as a docking station, allowing users to connect external peripherals, such as storage media and input devices, to a computer via the monitor. The back of the display sports dynamic RGB lighting. At just 24.5 mm (0.96 in) thick and weighing 640 g (22.6 oz), the highly portable 4K monitor is currently seeking financial support through a crowdfunding campaign. Backers can currently pledge around $300 to receive a unit, with deliveries expected to begin in July. However, prospective buyers should be aware of the financial risks associated with a crowdfunding project and carefully review the shipping terms before making a purchase.
