PeakDo's new power bank goes beyond powering the Starlink Mini

After weeks of teasing, PeakDo has announced a new portable battery pack for the Starlink Mini. The new LinkPower Pod 1 ditches the design of the other LinkPower battery packs, but still has the same battery capacity and a few tricks of its own.

The LinkPower Pod 1 has a cylindrical design that makes it more portable than PeakDo's other battery packs. It also features an integrated tripod to prop up the Starlink Mini. What's great about the LinkPower Pod 1 are its other features such as the ability to connect two units together for more battery power, thanks to the power bank's stackable design.

If you also own any of the other LinkPower battery packs such as the LinkPower 1 (available on Amazon for $158.86), you can connect the LinkPower Pod 1 to it for extended battery life. However, you will need a DC to USB-C cable to connect both together.

The LinkPower Pod 1 comes with a ball head accessory that allows you to use it connect it to a camera and a 1/4 screw that connects the bottom part to a tripod, so you can continue to power your camera. This is useful if you are outdoors and away from a wall outlet. It can also be used to power other mobile devices that charges via USB such as phones, tablets, handheld, and laptops. PeakDo also says it is safe to take on flights, and it has an IP65 dust and water resistance rating.

The LinkPower Pod 1 has a 1.47-inch display that shows the estimated charge and runtime, the power output for the DC and USB-C ports, and connection status for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Amazon Cloud. Its battery capacity is 99Wh (27,500mAh), which is advertised as providing over 4.5 hours of use. The battery pack has a max output of 65W for the DC and USB-C ports. However, since the USB-C port is bi-directional, it can be used to charge the power bank at up to 100W.

The PeakDo LinkPower Pod 1 is available to buy now on the manufacturer's website. It has a price tag of $199, but there's an early bird offer that brings the price down to $169 for 1 unit and $299 for two units. You also get a free DC to USB cable when you buy two units.
