Grinding Gear Games has confirmed the release date for Path of Exile 2's new league: The Last of the Druids. As its name suggests, it will introduce a new Druid class to the game. Typically, a new class is accompanied by a new weapon, and it'll be interesting to see what GGG has in store. Axes, perhaps?
Path of Exile 2, patch 0.4, will be revealed on December 4, 11:00 PST via a live stream. It will be playable on December 11, and players looking to give the ARPG a try can do so on the free-to-play weekend from December 12 to December 15 on PC/PS5/Xbox. Three days is hardly enough to experience even a fraction of what POE2 has to offer, but it's long enough to determine if it is for you.
Any progress made in the free-to-play weekend will carry over to the main game, should you decide to purchase it or when the game eventually becomes free-to-play at launch. Leagues typically last for four months, and any characters created during a league are migrated to the Standard league after it is over.
