Grinding Gear Games (GGG) has officially revealed the details for Path of Exile 2’s upcoming patch 0.2.0h, which is likely to roll out by Friday, May 16. This update focuses on meaningful endgame improvements and widely requested quality-of-life features that would tweak the gameplay.
The most significant update would be the overhaul of Breach encounters. With the update, Breaches will now spawn more monsters and remain open longer. This aims to address the widespread complaints about encounters’ short duration and sparse enemy density. To reduce tedium, Breach Splinter stacks will now drop in fewer, larger piles, making looting more efficient.
Further, Rogue Exiles are also getting a visibility boost to ensure they stand out during chaotic encounters. Meanwhile, the Azmerian Wisps, which were introduced in the Dawn of the Hunt update, will behave more predictably when multiple are activated at once.
As mentioned earlier, this update also includes several UI and inventory improvements. Players will be able to apply currency directly to Strongboxes and Essences via new UI icons, even using Vaal Orbs without opening their inventory. To add to this, a new item filter will allow users to customise how Tier 1–5 unidentified magic and rare items appear, which would make it easier for players to spot high-value loot.
In addition to this, new stash tabs will be introduced - the Ritual Tab for storing Omens and Audiences with the King, and the Socketable Tab, which organises Runes, Talismans, and Soul Cores while allowing Rune upgrades within the tab.
The upcoming 0.2.0h patch also introduces Private Leagues, letting players start fresh economies either solo or with friends. While the feature will launch without additional mods, GGG promises future enhancements.
Path of Exile 2 early access was released last year in December. The ARPG title is curreently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, as well as Microsoft Windows.
