Optimist Nocturne envelopes RTX 5090 in wood, brass, and warm light
The Optimist Nocturne gaming tower was originally introduced in 2024, but the 2026 version features several significant improvements. Wood-grain vinyl and faux leather are a thing of the past. Instead, the system integrator has enhanced a Fractal Design North case ($154 on Amazon) with a solid wood panel on the left side featuring the Optimist logo.
Even the motherboard is adorned with wood, as Optimist equips its top-of-the-line model with the Gigabyte X870E Aero X3D Dark Wood. While the Asus ProArt graphics card with wood accents shown in the official product images can be selected during configuration at no extra charge, Optimist installs a not-quite-as-attractive Zotac Solid SFF OC as standard, the top model comes with a GeForce RTX 5090.
The RAM with an integrated LED strip, the NZXT Kraken Elite 240 all-in-one CPU cooler, and a total of six Corsair iCUE Link LX120 RGB PWM fans also contribute to the gaming tower’s look. There’s also an LED strip along the bottom edge that illuminates the graphics card. The numerous RGB LED components are configured to produce a warm, white light. The design is rounded out by brass screws, feet, and buttons.
Pricing and availability
The Optimist Nocturne gaming tower is now available in the manufacturer’s online store, but is currently only shipping within the U.S. The most affordable model, featuring an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, 32 GB of RAM, and a 1 TB SSD costs $3,100. Optimist lists the top-of-the-line model with a Ryzen 9 9950X3D2, GeForce RTX 5090, 32 GB of RAM, and a 1 TB SSD at $7,000. More RAM and bigger SSDs can be configured.
