Pros
Cons
The Oppo Reno15 Pro is presented as a refined mid-premium smartphone in the Reno15 series, backed by an aggregate rating of about 85% across a small set of reviews. It pairs a 6.78-inch AMOLED display (high resolution and 120Hz) with a slim 7.7 mm body and a 205 g build. Camera hardware is a major focus, led by a 200MP main sensor plus 50MP telephoto with 3.5x optical zoom and a 50MP ultrawide, complemented by a 50MP selfie camera. Battery capacity is large at 6500 mAh, and the phone includes modern connectivity such as USB-C PD, NFC, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi‑Fi 6, Dual SIM, and GPS. Reviews emphasize its premium-feeling design, strong display, and improved cameras in a more compact, pocketable form factor. Some uncertainty remains around the unspecified processor details and the strong competition at its price level.

Reviews for the Oppo Reno15 Pro 5G
With the Reno15 Pro, Oppo sets out to blur the line between upper mid-range and flagship territory. The compact 5G smartphone pairs premium design with capable cameras and impressive endurance, but it does not emerge entirely without compromise.

I had no idea what to expect with the Oppo Reno 15 Pro once I unboxed it and started setting it up. Billed as an “all-in-one creative partner,” the general premise is to impress with the images it captures, and using it as much as I have, I’m surprised at what it delivers considering the specs. That this is a phone is actually besides the point because Oppo positions the Reno 15 Pro less on raw performance and more as an AI-driven camera phone for mobile photographers and social media types. It’s decidedly mid-range in both price (starting at $500 USD) and performance, but the camera carries the load in interesting ways.

The Oppo Reno15 Pro 5G is a well-built smartphone that is one of those midrange units that feels like it can easily manage three or more years in your pocket. Assuring hefty in hand, it includes most of the modern requirements such as great photography and a few interesting AI features - backed up by the hardware to push it past a two year contract cycle. It retails in the region of R19 500. Strong competition for the Reno15 Pro’s will arrive soon in the form of the brand recognition of the new Samsung Galaxy S26. A quick glance at specs proves the S25 stronger in terms of processing power, but the Oppo has got it beat in terms of screen resolution, battery life, camera systems and price – it’s about R2k cheaper.

The OPPO Reno15 Pro offers a competitive set of features for its price segment. It combines a capable processor, a bright and smooth AMOLED display, a versatile triple-camera system, a large-capacity battery, and a premium glass-and-aluminum design. Overall, it is a well-balanced device suitable for everyday use. The smartphone handles typical daily tasks with ease: messaging, social media, video playback, mobile photography, and even gaming do not pose significant challenges. The interface runs smoothly, and the high-refresh-rate AMOLED display enhances the user experience, making scrolling, animations, and video playback appear fluid. The camera system is designed primarily to allow users to quickly capture vibrant and visually striking photos without complex adjustments. Processing algorithms actively enhance color and contrast, so images often look ready for social media immediately after being taken.

When we first reported on the price of the OPPO Reno15 Pro 5G, we always felt like it would prove a stumbling block for cost savvy consumers. Having now reviewed the device, our initial thoughts are indeed true. The Reno15 Pro is by no means a lacklustre smartphone. In fact, its design, software, camera, and battery are all great elements, and could easily prove useful for a few years before needing an upgrade. The problem, however, is that we could point to several similarly specced phones available locally for less money. Add to this some flagship phone options launched recently that are close to, or even less expensive than the Reno15 Pro, and OPPO SA may have priced itself out of contention. It is a pity, too, as by all other metrics, the OPPO Reno15 Pro is as solid a premium mid-range phone as you will encounter this year.

The OPPO Reno15 Pro (review) is a premium device that sits in a very competitive price bracket, competing with both sub-flagships and proper flagships. It ticks a lot of boxes and does several things remarkably well, but it isn’t without its fair share of shortcomings. If you’re wondering how the device fits in this price bracket and are considering it, here’s everything you need to know before purchasing.

The Oppo Reno 15 Pro has a lot going for it if you’re looking for great cameras, particularly a telephoto lens, in a relatively compact handset with a decent battery life. Just keep in mind that you’re sacrificing some grunt compared to what you can get for roughly the same price elsewhere.

The OPPO Reno15 Pro is a premium device for sure, but its pricing puts it in a very tricky spot, competing with both full-flagship and sub-flagship devices with similar hardware. If it were priced slightly lower, it would be more competitive. You get decent performance output, a great 200MP camera system, decent battery life, and a strong, durable build. The long-term software support is also something that’s on-par with flagship offerings. But does the phone truly match flagship expectations? In my opinion, it falls short in a few areas. It doesn’t have as impressive a battery or display as a proper flagship; its cameras fall slightly behind the phones priced over Rs 70,000; and it doesn’t really offer top-end performance either.

I’d argue that both of these phones are worth the price tag. The OPPO Reno15 Pro 5G is notably more expensive, but it does offer more, especially in the SoC and camera departments. The OPPO Reno15 5G will be more than enough for most people, though. Both phones offer really good performance, though the ‘Pro’ does have the edge. They have great battery life, charge really fast, and have very compelling displays too. There’s not much to complain here, in all honesty, considering the price tags, and that’s especially true for the vanilla model. I enjoyed my time with both phones, though more with the smaller, ‘Pro’ unit.

All-in-all, the OPPO Reno15 Pro is a great phone to use for everyday work or play. We like the new smaller size, making it more ergonomic to handle. Despite that, the display is still amazing, and the chipset is very capable. Not to mention the cameras are fantastic, making an almost perfect all-around smartphone.

For a midrange phone, the OPPO Reno 15 Pro isn’t bad. It’s hard to gauge where this phone would land in the U.S., but if it were sold here, I’d probably recommend the Pixel 10, Pixel 9a, or even the OnePlus 15R before this phone. They all have their pluses and minuses, but the camera really drags this phone down more than it should at this tier. The Reno series isn’t considered a flagship, so the camera performance isn’t terribly surprising, but putting “pro” in the name comes with some expectations, and here they just aren’t met.

The Oppo Reno 15 Pro is a refined premium midrange phone that packs decent battery life, a gorgeous display and improved cameras in a more pocketable, compact form factor. If you like a compact yet powerful camphone with a 200MP main camera, this is worthy of consideration.

Whether all of this translates into a consistently great everyday experience is something only time will tell. But as first impressions go, the Reno 15 Pro Mini makes a strong case for itself as one of the most interesting compact Android phones OPPO has released in years. But at a starting price of Rs 59,999, the Reno 15 Pro Mini will face stiff competition from rival compact phones, including the Vivo X200 FE and the OnePlus 13s, both of which impressed us last year.

The Oppo Reno 15 Pro arrives as a polished mid-premium phone, announced on November 17, 2025 and released just a few days later. It has a slim 7.7 mm body, a glass front and back, and an aluminum alloy frame, giving it a solid and premium feel despite the 205 g weight. The phone also carries an impressive IP68/IP69 rating, making it resistant to dust, water, and even high-pressure jets. On the front, you get a large 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 1B colors, HDR10+, a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 3600 nits of peak brightness, making outdoor visibility excellent. The 1272 × 2772 resolution with ~450 ppi ensures sharp visuals, and the screen is protected by reinforced glass.

The Oppo Reno series has always been about style, but the Reno15 Pro takes it to a whole new level. This phone feels seriously premium, almost like a flagship, but without the flagship price tag. But is a beautiful design and a massive camera sensor enough to make it a must-buy? Let's break it down. The Oppo Reno15 Pro packs some impressive specs for its class, aiming to be the go-to phone for creators and anyone who values design and camera quality.
