Reviews for the Oppo Reno14 Pro

The Oppo Reno 14 Pro comes with a sleek design, solid cameras, and smooth software. Charging support is great too. However, performance and battery life fall short of expectations. At Rs 50,000, it’s best suited for users who value style and camera features over raw power, especially those who travel a lot. Oppo Reno 14 Pro Review: Just around six months after the launch of its Reno 13 series, Oppo is back with its successor, the Reno 14 and the Reno 14 Pro. Reno is Oppo’s mid-premium offering and is pretty popular in India. And hence, the expectations were pretty high with the newly launched smartphones too. I have been using the Oppo Reno 14 Pro for the past few weeks to test just that and see if the new offering by Oppo delivers up to its claims.

The Oppo Reno14 Pro is a surprisingly well-rounded midrange phone that has it where it counts with a durable, water-resistant chassis, a decent set of front and rear cameras as well as a modest price tag that is unchanged from its predecessor.

The Oppo Reno14 Pro 5G is one of the many smartphones competing in that space just below the top performers. Sort of like the smartphone equivalent of premium economy. For S$999, you get solid cameras, a large vibrant display, and a processor that should be fast enough for most users. In short, it's good value, and it also comes in an attractive and polished package. I tested the Titanium Grey version, which has a Space Grey MacBook-like vibe. It's matte all over, from the aluminium rails to the glass back. It also seems resistant to fingerprint smudges. The screen is flat, the corners are rounded — it looks very much like a premium smartphone, down to its IP69 rating for water and dust resistance. If you prefer something more eye-catching, the Opal White may be your cup of tea.

Since we have delayed the review of this phone by a few days, we have the final price of the Reno14 Pro and also sat on it for a few things and think about it. This phone is priced at RM2,999. I have no other comments other than just yikes. The price is too high, honestly. So let me know, what do you think about this phone? The OPPO Reno14 Pro 5G has great cameras, great design, decent performance, but the battery life is definitely weird, and suspect that it is caused by the firmware.

The OPPO Reno 14 Pro stands out with its premium design, sharp display, and versatile camera system. Its real strength lies in content creation – from the capable telephoto lens to 4K video recording and on-device editing features. The large display and long battery life further enhance usability. However, it is not meant for intensive gaming, and the lack of expandable storage could be a concern for users handling large amounts of 4K content. Still, for creators focused on visuals, style and endurance, the Reno 14 Pro is a strong contender.

The Oppo Reno 14 Pro sure seems to be an interesting smartphone in this price segment. It offers a premium design language and a bright display. The camera sure seems to be versatile, though we are yet to test out its full capabilities. However, the rest of the specifications might feel a bit underwhelming when compared to the likes of iQOO 13, Realme GT 7, OnePlus 13s, and more. Stay tuned to our full review to find out if the Reno 14 Pro is a good buy.

If you already own the Oppo Reno 13 Pro, the upgrades — such as the bigger battery, new MediaTek chip, improved camera setup, and slightly new design — might not be enough to warrant an upgrade. But for those using older Oppo Reno models or looking for a well-balanced premium phone under Rs 50,000, the Oppo Reno 14 Pro is a strong contender. It may not lead the performance charts, but it offers a premium design, solid camera, solid battery life, and smooth day-to-day usage, with bonus features like glove mode, 80W bundled charger, and IP69 protection that genuinely add value.

ARM Immortalis-G720 MP7: High-end graphics chip for smartphones with 7 of the 16 possible cores. Based on the new "5th Gen" architecture (successor to Valhall) including Variable Rate Shading (VRS) and Ray Racing. It is a small display format for smartphones. You shouldn't be severely defective in vision, and you won't see much detail on the screen and only have a small resolution available. For that, the device should be small and handy, easy to transport.

This rating must actually be seen as average, since there are about as many devices with worse ratings as better ones. A purchase recommendation can only be seen with a lot of goodwill, unless it is about websites that generally rate strictly.
