OnePlus teases the Nord 2 with some oddly familiar-sounding display specs
OnePlus has already announced that its upcoming Nord 2 smartphone will have a version of the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor, customized for AI enhancements geared towards reduced latency during gaming, display enhancements and photography. For example, it will support the same digital overlap form of HDR (DOL-HDR) found in the flagship 9 series.
Now, the OEM has revealed that the Nord 2 will also benefit from a 90Hz display in a 6.43-inch Fluid AMOLED display. Fans of the brand might have already noticed that these screen specs also apply to the Nord CE, another phone of this series currently on the market.
However, the Nord 2 will stand apart with a higher-end HDR10+ spec. OnePlus asserts that this will make the upcoming smartphone's display "swim with lifelike color and visuals for all your favorite content". The OEM has yet to reveal anything more about the upcoming smartphone, but still has quite a bit of time between now and its July 12, 2021 to release further teasers.
